Afraid To Lose You

'Sakura POV'
While I was taking notes in class, Sasuke turned towards me with an annoyed face. I give him a questioning look and he whispers "My brother wants you to meet him after school in the gate. You better NOT avoid this meeting." With that he turns around.

He's probably wondering why I have been avoiding him. Itachi deserves an explanation, he has done nothing wrong, it's all me;because of my selfishness. I've decided to meet him after school.

After school I gathered my things and was making my way down to Itachi, that's until I saw Reina walking towards my way with a smile. I smiled back to be polite but I had a bad feeling in my stomach. "Hello Sakura, I've been meaning to speak with you." "Oh, why is that?" "Well you know...somewhere more private." She grabs my wrist and drags me somewhere.

When we arrive it's in the sports storage room. "In here Sakura" she smiles wickedly at me. Before I can question her she pushes me in harshly as I fall to the ground I hear the door being closed "She's all yours girls." Two tall thin girls approach me, they start to kick me all over my body, and went extra hard around my stomach. Then one of them pulled my hair pulling my head back. Tired of the situation I get up and tackle one of them and start hitting her, then before I knew it I blacked out.

'Karin POV'
I went to grab the extra cheerleading uniforms in the storage room, we needed them for the girls that just joined. When I opened the door I'm shocked at what I see, a girl just hit Sakura in the back of the head with a bat. "WHAT THE HELL!!!" I quickly sock the girl in her face and pulled the other by the hair away from Sakura. "GET OUT OF HERE YOU STUPID GIRLS!" They angrily left. "Shit, Sakura! Sakura!" I panicked as she wasn't responding, they got her pretty good, she's bleeding from her mouth and back of the head. "This is really really really bad!!!" I dash towards the nurses office, thank god she stays after school for a while. "Erika Sensei!!!!!! There's a really beat up girl in the storage room!!!!!!" She nods and runs with me towards Sakura while calling an ambulance.

'Itachi POV'
Could Sakura really have rejected to see me here. It's been 10 minutes since the bell rang. I doubt she's coming. Reina and her bestfriend come out happily, Reina smiles gently towards me way, I give her a simple wave. Deciding that she's not coming, I decide to leave, that's until an ambulance came through the gates. Paramedics quickly rushed into our school. The nurse shouts at them from afar, "quickly!! She's bleeding badly and she's unconscious!!!" I turn towards the direction they went curious on what's happening. Then I see a worried Karin come out with a Paramedic questioning her. "Yeah, she got hit by these two stup-I mean girls." "Do you know what her name is?" "Sakura Haruno." The moment I heard that name time seemed to stop. Panicking I see them bringing an unconscious Sakura. I quickly go by her side "Sakura!" "Sir are you involved with her?" "Yes she's one of my close friends." The paramedic nods and motions for me to go in ambulance. Riding with Sakura the whole way to the hospital.

I've been pacing back and forward until a doctor came out. "Well how is she!?" "Please calm down sir. She is fine. She was hit behind the head which caused her to faint, she has many bruises and a broken rib. She just needs many rest and then she will be fine." I nod and sigh in relief. "Thank you Doctor." He nods and motions me inside. There I see Sakura's angelic sleeping face. I caress her face taking in her presence that I've missed so much. "You really scared me, I thought I had lost you..." I sit beside her waiting until her family shows up. Karin comes in. "Oh hey Itachi. I just came to make sure if Sakura was fine. "That's strange...I thought you both hated each other." "*sigh* we don't. I guess we just argue because I'm jealous of someone taking away Sasuke." "I see, well she's fine." "Good to hear" she smiles gently and exits. She should really show her gentle side more, maybe Sasuke might notice her.

Sakura stirs and wakes up. "Sakura, how are you feeling?" "H-huh? Itachi? Where am I-ow my head...everything hurts." "It's okay, Karin found two girls hitting you and she took care of them and called help for you" "Karin? She really saved me?" "Yes she did, you had me worried." She blushes and looks down "sorry...I-Itachi-Senpai, why are you here...shouldn't you be with your girlfriend..?" I looked at her as if she's grown two heads. "What girlfriend?" She looks at me seriously. "You don't have to hide it from me senpai... Reina told me about your relationship." "I really have no Idea what you are talking about Sakura." "Reina is your girlfriend!! She told me! She said you don't like people knowing about your relationships so you guys don't show it." "Huh?" I laugh. "What's so funny!?" "Reina lied to you. I am not in a relationship with her, as a matter of fact I have no interest in her whatsoever." Sakura's eyes widen and she smacks her forehead then grunts in pain. "Damnit Ino was right!!!!!" "What?" "I've been avoiding you because Reina had told me that you guys were a couple an I believed I was being a disturbance so I backed away. And just like Ino said! She lied to me!" "So...she did that because she likes me?" She nods. "Sakura, it made me sad that you avoided me all that time, I didn't even know the reason why and I always blamed it on myself." I grab a hold of her both shoulders and bring my face close to her. "Sakura...next time you are unsure or curious about something, come to me so I can clear things up for you..." She looks me in the eyes and nods repeatedly with tears in her eyes. "I'm so sorry Itachi." I hug her and she hugs me back tighter. "It's alright. Just don't let it happen again." She nods against my chest. And I smile at how cute she is. I like Sakura, I'm sure of it now, the feeling of losing her made me so afraid...afraid of not ever seeing that smile again.

Just then the door bursts open. "Aaaaauuuuuuuuntiiiiiie!!!!*sob* please don't die!!!!!!!!" Hana pushes by me and hugs Sakura to death. Her family comes in worriedly along with all her friends. "Itachi how is she?" I face everyone and tell them she is fine and only needs rest. They all looked relieved and Ino along with Rose threatened to kill the girls who did this to her.

'Sakura POV'
I was happy to see everyone in the room, and even happier that I'm talking to Itachi now and the whole misunderstanding is cleared up.
