A part of me couldn't stop worrying about Eliyah. She seemed so freaked out about him. That's exactly why I can't tell her what happened after she left. All of the terrible things Taha had did.I shook my head and continued to walk down the hall way to my next class. Just thinking about him automatically puts me in a bad mood. The first class I have is English with Ms.Mathews which I really really hate.As I walked in, I sat at the seat closest to the window. I love sitting here because right outside this window, is the garden that me and my friends helped plant for the school. I love staring out at the window and seeing such pretty flowers right next to me. "Hello class," Ms. Mathews said right after the bell rang.
Here goes forty minutes of pure torture.

"Eliyah!" I hurriedly walked up to where she was standing. By now it was lunch time and the cafeteria was packed with students. "How were your classes?" I asked as we walked into the lunch line. She shrugged in response and started piling food on to her plate. "There's something that's bothering me." She stated with a distraught look on her face.
"What is it?"
"What did you mean when you said Taha was dangerous?" She repeated the question. I couldn't help but groan, she isn't going to let it go will she? "Just let it go Eliyah, I mean it." To say I was getting annoyed would be an understatement. You know that saying ignorance is bliss? Well in this case that couldn't be anymore true.
I wish I didn't know half of the things that I know about Taha Mohamed. Eliyah dared at me for a second before reluctantly nodding her head. "Fine, let's finish getting our food." She stated, grabbing a plate of fries and juice. After grabbing my own plate and filling it up with food, we went to sit down at my usual table with Ahlam and Veronica.
The rest of the school day went by quickly and for that I couldn't be more grateful. "Beels let me borrow your car." Zayan said as he walked into my room. Eliyah and I were in the middle of watching Scream when he barged in. "Why?" I questioned, putting a handful of popcorn in my mouth. "My car is in the shop and I need to go somewhere." He explained leaning against my door.
Sighing, I lazily get up off of my bed and throw him my keys which he caught easily. "Bye now," I shooed him away, closing my door. "Brothers..." I stated as I jumped back on my bed. "Tell me about it." Eliyah agreed. Sometimes I keep forgetting that she lives with five of them.
I could barely handle having two barbaric overprotective brothers, I can't imagine how she feels having five. I barely ever see my oldest brother Hakeem because he's always too busy with either school or work, sometimes it's like he doesn't even live here. But just a couple of weeks ago he told Mama and Baba that he's ready to get married and already knows who he wants to get married to. So I suspect he's going to be around more often or at least I hope he is. "So what did you think of today?" I questioned as I positioned myself comfortably. "Think you could get through the rest of the school year?"
"I guess today was okay...I'm glad you were by my side though." She responded with an unreadable look on her face. "Thanks for being here for me Beels, it really means a lot."
"No prob."

"Bilah can you come down here?" Ma shouted from downstairs. I quickly got off of my bed and walked into the kitchen. "Here, I'm going to need you to grab some groceries for me." She handed me a long list of groceries. "Okay, May come with me to the groceries store." I said as I walked back up the stairs and into my room to grab a scarf. For some reason I don't feel like leaving the house by myself.
"Why?" Maysun groaned as she opened the door to the room both her and Maryam share. "Because I said so." I responded, walking down the stairs. After grabbing moms credit card and putting on our shoes we both walked outside and into my car. The moment I started the engine May put on 'One Dance' by Drake on full blast.
"Grips on your waist front way back way, you know that I don't play," We sang in unison. By the time the song was over I was already at Kroger's and parked the car in the parking lot "Here, take a pic of the list," I told my sister, the faster we get this done the sooner we can get out of here. "You get the first half of the list and I'll get the second."
"Sounds good."
After about 30 minutes or so we were done finding everything on the list and we're heading outside. And that's when I saw something I never thought I'd see. Eliyah's brother Haroon, and Taha punching the heck out of each other right at the front of Kroger's. Before I could jump in and pull them a part, two random men had already done that. "Break it up you two before I call the cops!" One of the men shouted.
That's when Haroon looked up and made eye contact with both me and May. Then without saying anything to either of us, he walked to his car and drove off. What just happened!?
