of a brotherTyler's POV
Walking to my room, I accidentally hit the edge of the table near the door of my room and made a thump which caused me curse along something under my breath.
Something fell from it and I noticed it was a picture frame. It contains an image of me and Avery, 10 years ago.
The two of us were smiling at the camera as it focus to capture the undetachable link of the brotherly love exists but suddenly the fraternal bond throughout their younger years broke.
And chains of memories seep through my mind as I return it on the flat surface of my table.
*flashbacks*
"Gotcha'! I yelled at my little twin brother - Avery, upon catching out to him. Bursting in a fit of laughter as our bodies stumble under the summer heat of July. He crawled away from me but I joyfully dragged him every time he tries to escape.
"S-stop. I-it tickles." He said between greeted weep of laughter. But I keep on poking his trunk until he can no longer hold and until I'm satisfied.
I laughed with him still stealing pokes to his torso as we get up from the sandy ground. When he had the chance, he quickly ran away and into the safety arms of our father. He pouts with him as he bring him in his strong shoulders up high to the blue sky.
"I love my brother so much." I uttered and a sweet smile attached to my face. I ran towards my father carrying my little brother with him and he playfully sprint away from me.
And when I catch up to them, I reached out to Avery with my arms trying to detached him from our father. He laughed along with us while he tries to avoid me, holding tight to the thick hair of the man we dearly adore so much.
We just only stopped from playing around when we heard the woman calling out for us from the Nippa Hat under the bend coconut tree. Our beautiful and caring mother.
As we walked back there in unison. My father told me of something I'm sure I will never forget and will delightfully oblige. My brother still sitting on his shoulders. I looked up to him and seriously settled my eyes on my father's warmth pair of eyes.
"Tyler." He started.
I focused my eyes to his and ready to acquire the words he wanted me to hear.
"I want and need you to promise me to protect your brother at all times. Even when the right time comes with both of you will had your separate lives. I know you love your brother as much your mom and I loved him. Have each others back, need each other. Me and your mother love you both equally but I'm asking you to have an extra affection toward your brother. If when rough time comes and put you to trials, I want you to remember this pack we had." He endeared lay.
I walked back to my bed and laid there staring at the ceiling like it was the most fascinating thing in the world.
I can still remember everything my father had told me that day. The pack we made 12 years ago. I was eight back then, with my age, I think and act like an adult. My brother was five. The most adorable thing in the world, I cared and loved the most more than anything in my existence.
And I know deep down inside me, I still care about him and the love I had with him never fades.
I was snapped back from my thought when I heard the front door swung open. And I knew it was my brother. Of course, I know too that he's back from having dinner with his boyfriend - Scott with his father. I sighed.
I hopped up from my bed, walked to the door. There he was, opening his door, revealing inside, his room without his knowledge I everyday visit. I looked back to his eyes. The very orb that mesmerized me as always.
"One day, you and I are gonna wake up and be alright, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but one day, I promise you." He held the tears and went inside.
I dropped my gazed and took the flight downstairs. I need some air.
