Maya POV
The last thing I saw was red. Then it was all white. I tried to smile, but my face wasn't working. Then I looked around. I moved, but I was out of my body. I glanced to the right and saw Lucas, in a hospital bed.
"The impact killed both of them on contact. They both weren't wearing their seatbelts. They had just left the place." The doctor spoke quietly. Riley was there, crying over the both of us and blaming herself.
I went back down on the bed and closed my eyes. This couldn't be happening.
When I opened my eyes again, I was truly awake. I saw Lucas beside me and kissed him. He grinned, still asleep, and I turned back over. I couldn't believe that that would ever happen. I was glad it wasn't true.
