Farkle Minkus knew, without a doubt, that he loved each and every part of Riley Matthews. Her touch, her body, her smile. The way she could light up a room like no one else could. The way that she stopped to help someone, whether she knew them or not, and never questioned a reason to do a good deed.
He loved the way she smiled when he would tease her, or how she would blush when he would compliment her. How she knew so much about the solar system and science and wanted to be a scientist. Her love of Pluto, and all things chocolate. Her tired faces at school when she had stayed up past midnight to finish a book, only to start it over again.
The sobs she made when it was thundering outside, or the way that she would cling to him like he was her everything. The way that she was when she was scared during a movie, and would cuddle into him like he could protect her from her deepest fears. The looks she gave him in between classes, that made him feel like he was on top of the world.
But most of all, he loved the mornings when she would sit in her window, reading. The sun would rise lazily in the early morning sky and glance off of her eyes, turning them amber in the light.
Reading had always been Riley Matthew's favorite thing to do. Most nights she would sit in the bay window, reading. Ever since she was a little girl, going from fairy tales to chapter books to her favorite romance novels that kept her captivated until the last sentence.
Farkle would watch her from his window at night, letting the sun set before opening his curtains to gaze at her facial expressions while she read. She would cry at the saddest parts, and squeal emphatically when she liked what was happening. Lastly, when she came to the close of a book, she would sigh like she had lost a dear friend and hold the book close to her. Then she would place it on the shelf and select another.
Farkle was looking through her window one night, when she finished a book and looked towards him. At him. She pointed a finger, nodded, and gestured for him to come. Eagerly, Farkle climbed out his window and started towards her house. When he arrived, he climbed through her window and sat beside her on the bench.
"Hey." He muttered under his breath, shivering in the chilly air.
"Hi." Riley replied, smirking in a way that only suggested she knew he had been doing this for quite some time.
"Listen, if this is about the whole staring at you thing-" Riley cut him off by kissing him. In less than a minute, the kiss deepened, and Riley was clinging onto Farkle just like he loved. Their lips were bonded together, and their fingers were tangled with one another as they each tried to kiss with more love and passion.
Farkle fell onto Riley's bed, dragging her with him, and kissed her again. Their hands wandered across one another's bodies, causing nervous shivers through them. The electric shock between the two of them was contagious, and Riley didn't want it to stop.
They had to pull back eventually though, and Riley stared into Farkle's eyes when they did. They were glowing with a faint light that was pure ecstasy.
"Where did you learn to kiss so well?" Farkle asked, still out of breath and cheeks flushed. Riley's were pink too, but she wasn't embarrassed about it. She loved how Farkle made her feel.
"Well, let's just say I've seen a little TOO much of my parents." She joked, letting her hand wander to Farkle's. They entangled their fingers, and Riley looked at Farkle with a bit of shyness in her expression.
"I've never met anyone like you, Riley. I really like you." Riley smiled and giggled a little. Farkle kissed her forehead, and she snuggled into him, falling asleep instantly. Just before her eyes closed though, she muttered one last thing:
"And I love you, Farkle Minkus."
