So here I am now holding onto Trev's arm as we walk into the avenue.

The car ride hasn't been awkward as we take turns asking questions about ourselves. Thanks to the game, I now know that Trev is an adrenaline junkie. He has been to almost all of the well-known ski sites and has done paragliding, mountain climbing and all kind of fun outdoor activities. Which is great because I myself loves outdoors but haven't engage in much activities before. He even promises to take me on his next adventure.

As we enter into the area that the fashion show is taking place, I can feel myself getting nervous. My heart races and my palms start to get sweaty. I have to control myself to walk in the heels and not fall flat on my face. I grip harder on Trev's arm because it seems like the most logical thing to do in this moment.

There are well-dressed fashionable people everywhere. Women strut in sky-high heels with professionally made up faces and men with an air of authority and there are also men that are dressed in fashionable colours with cameras hanging around their necks. They most definitely are fashion bloggers.

I may have been born into this world where being materialistic is the key but I've been distant from it for so long that I'm not very much comfortable being in it anymore.

Trev shifts and brings my face to look into his stormy eyes framed with his glasses.

His eyes seem to darken more under the scrutiny of bright glaring lights.

"Rina, you're a strong person. You need to believe in yourself, no harm is going to come to you and if something does happen then know that I'm with you. Okay?"

His gaze and his closeness gives me some resolve in what I'm doing and I find myself giving him a strong nod while looking into his steely grey eyes.

The show starts not long after we all sit down. Trev and I are given the best seats, in the front row with all the famous A-listers so we are able to see the show to its full glory.

Ever since Lillian and I were young, she has had talent in art and a keen eye on the latest fashion trends. That has proven to be effective now that she can properly make use of it in her career.

I had taken a gap year to take care of William but at that time Lillian had continued on with her studies, making her finish a year earlier than I.

Even though she actually is a Law major, she decided fashion designing as her career. With her social background, wealth and skills, she is able to gain audience faster and easier than other designers. It also helps that William, a fellow A-lister, is her boyfriend.

The show is stunning. The designs are not classic and timeless but they are all glamorous and sexy with daring cuts and shimmering fabrics.

There are people I used to know back in the days that sit beside me and even though they try to ask questions on answers that I only hold, I manage to change the topic before they can ask further.

Lillian comes out as the last model struts into the back, taking time as she flashes some poses into the cameras and kisses into the air before strutting into the backstage as well.

As soon as all the lights come back on a woman dressed in a tightly pressed grey suit rushes over where Trev and I are standing and talking with the CEO of a major bank, who also happens to be an extremely close acquaintance of Trev and my father.

We politely ended the conversation when the woman, Sydney, who ironically comes from Australia, leads us through the crowd to where her employer is.

She animatedly chats to us about the wonderful designs and Lillian's amazing talent in designing glamorous gowns in a very tight schedule. There's an apparent idolisation going on with her.

I just put on a polite smile and nod along but I've known Lillian well enough to know that her tight schedule consists of nothing other than dallying around with people that are trying to leech off from her, she most certainly is oblivious on their intentions. It's not like she listened to me anyways whenever I warned her of their intentions.

Trevor and I just follow Sydney silently.

Nevertheless, Sydney's praise for her mistress style doesn't fail to capture the Lillian that now stands mere paces away from where we are.

Trevor possessively puts his left arm around my shoulder when he spots Lillian.

I flinch a little bit at the contact of his warm arm on my bare shoulders but it provides me a sense of overwhelming confidence that I need to confront the couple.

"Ah! There she is!" Sydney exclaims. Her eyes light up as she spots Lillian in the crowd.

"Mistress!" She shouts over and frantically wave her arms over her head as she pushes through the bustling crowd of people to get to the impeccable dressed designer.

Lillian is not a tall person by ay sense but her heels make her look at intimidating. She has on a strapless figure hugging dress that flared to the ground. The fabric of the gown looks as if it's adorned in millions of tiny diamonds. The long train of her gown covers her heels and the strapless part of the dress shows off her elegant neckline and her cleavage seductively.

She turns around to look at us.

Her eyes shine brightly as soon as she sees me from under her long dark lashes, either in happiness or malice, I don't know.

"Oh, Cary!" She exclaims and quickly run over to give a kiss on my cheeks. Her cold fingers gripping my hands tightly that it hurt. "You've been gone for so long! We missed you!" Her voice drips sweetly of sarcasm.

I stay rooted to the ground as she hugs me as I squeeze Trevor's hand in mind, praying that the moment will be gone sooner rather than later.
