I'm listening to how to save a life, so be warned!

Dean clung to your limp body. Sam was fighting off the rest of the demons, but Dean wasn't. He just wanted to give up. He clung to your body, blood all over his clothes and hands. He had hot tears running down his face, and he looked through his blurry vision to see your eyes, but they were closed. You weren't breathing, and a trail of blood that ran down from your forehead trickled down the side of your nose. When Dean saw this, more tears came. He hugged your body closer to himself.

Where did I go wrong?

Sam had killed the demons and had returned to Dean and saw the state he was in. Sam had never seen Dean this weak, and sad. Deans tears hadn't stopped when Sam knelt down to him and saw you dead in his arms.

I lost a friend.

Dean walked to his car with Sam trailing behind him, and Dean still holding your body. Your body was now cold, all the warmth had left. This made Dean cry more. Then he felt Sam's hand on his shoulder.
"Here, I'll drive. You can sit in the backseat and as soon as we get back to the bunker we can burn her body." Sam suggested. Dean just nodded, not even bothering to wipe away the tears.

Somewhere along the bitterness.

Dean was still clinging to your body during the two hour car drive. He never fell asleep, but he practically cried the whole way. Sam was surprised to see his rough-and-tough brother crying this hard. When they got to the bunker, Sam went to get Bobby and Dean had set your body in a white blanket and on the body burning stand. Then, Dean had done something that surprised himself. He knelt down, and prayed to God. He prayed about you, and how he wished you'd have the best in heaven, but visit him sometime. When Sam and Bobby came out, Dean lit the body on fire and sat down on a log. He put his face in his hands and cried softly into his hands.

And I would have stayed up with you all night,

When your body was burned, Dean ventured into your room. It still smelled like you. Dean had choked back a sob. Then, he looked at the (f/c) walls, and saw the many pictures of you and himself. This made it harder to choke back the rocking sobs that wanted to come out of Dean's chest. He was tired, so he undressed himself until he was in his boxers and slowly gotten into your bed. He pulled back the warm sheets, and nuzzled his face into your pillow. It smelled just like your shampoo. This is when Dean let out the racking sobs in his throat, and cried himself to sleep.

Had I known how to save a life.

Dean woke up the next morning, expecting to see your bright, beautiful (e/c) eyes. He woke up to an empty bed, and remembered last nights events. He remembered your last words as you died in his arms.
"Dean, I love you. P-please-" you choked on blood, and it splattered out of your mouth. "Please stay safe, and live a long life. Don't forget about me. I-" you choked on more blood, and grabbed Dean's shirt collar in a balled fist.
"I love you." Then you had went limp in Dean's arms. Dean remembered this moment, and more sobs came. He cried and cried. But he had to be strong for you, for his beloved (Y/n) that showed him how to he more compassionate. He would try and move on for her. But never forget his sweet, sweet (Y/n).

     How to save a life.
