"Sonic."

"Yeah?"

"I got a question." You said as you watch him cook on the kitchen of your apartment as you rest your chin above your crossed arms on the counter.

"What is it?" He asked without even looking at you as he flipped the pancake before setting it back down on the stove.

"You're speedy right?"

"Uh-huh."

"And whatever you do, you do it fast, right?"

"How's that related to your question?"

"Well, uhh." You trailed off as you felt your cheeks heat up at your dumb question.

"Spit it out [Name]." He said while beating the eggs.

"Uhm.... How come you've never kissed me before?" You spoke in your smallest voice you could let out.

"Well, I've kissed you on your cheeks haven't I?" He flipped the pancake once more, setting it on a plate before cooking again another piece.

"You do know that's not what I meant!" You squeaked as you felt your cheeks become hotter and hotter.

Sonic stopped on whatever he was doing as if he was thinking on what you meant.

You and Sonic had already been dating for a year. But in a year of love, fun, and memories, there's one thing you've always craved of him.

It's true that he kisses you but only on your cheeks. He never kissed you on your lips since once. You don't want to be selfish and all, you're actually quite contented being Sonic's girlfriend. But still, you can't help yourself wanting those lips.

You knew that he knows you had someone already got your first kiss from you, you know he felt quite saddened because he wasn't the one to get it from you. Still, he haven't changed his mind one bit on loving.

"I do not know what you mean." He mimicked you making himself laugh before going back on making pancakes.

"Is it because, you're still disappointed at me?" You sighed as you dug your head further on your arms.

You heard silence filled the air. You knew he doesn't want this topic to be brought up yet here you are asking him for the nth time.

You felt guilty, ashamed, and embarrassed at the same time. You felt your self-esteem lower down as you kept scolding yourself for being a hard headed girl and for letting that jerk get it first instead of Sonic.

A tear rolled down from your eyes as you degrade yourself more and more because of being so stupid and ignorant.

You wanted to apologize for being so pushy yet you're still having second thoughts whether to do it or not.

You gathered up your courage taking a quick inhale before lifting your head up.
