Author-san's POV

"I'm going!" You called out giving a peck to your bald boyfriend who's busy reading mangas. "This late again?" He groaned as he looked at you with worried eyes. "I'll be back home safe, I promise." You smiled at him before pulling you to a soft quick kiss on your lips. "Take care okay?" He sighed, nodding before walking to the door.

"Bye Genos-kun!" You chirped at the cyborg who is busy washing the dishes at the kitchen, earning a small nod from him before heading out.

"Where is that girl going anyway?" Genos asked his sensei as he walked towards Saitama, sitting besides him.

"She said that it's already her research thesis month, meaning staying for the night over at her group mate's house." Saitama answered, letting out an another sigh as he glanced up on the clock saying '10:30'.

"Well, being a college student must've been fun, I didn't get a chance since that incident 5 years ago." Genos sighed, feeling envious of you having the chance to finish up school.

Saitama looked at his sulking disciple, he gently placed his hand on top of Genos' blonde locks, ruffling his hair to cheer him up, "Oh look at the bright side, you're already an S-Class hero."

Genos looked up at his sensei, giving him a soft smile before standing up. "I'm going to sleep now." He said as he made his way to his room leaving Saitama alone.

Saitama let out another sigh as he plopped down on the matress laid down on the floor. He reached for his phone as he stated on his lockscreen wallpaper which is the two of you doing silly poses.

"Just be careful okay?" Saitama breathed out before going to sleep.

"How's the thesis doing?" Saitama asked you as you munched on your favorite bowl of cereal.

"Huh?" You looked at him questioning before snapping out of your thoughts, "Oh! Yes! The thesis," you let out an awkward laugh as you scratched the back of your head," well, it's doing great I guess." You said as you went back eating your breakfast.

Saitama gave you a questioning look before taking another sip of his coffee. "Why is your hand covered in band-aid?" He asked you with concern.

"O-oh this? It's nothing pfft." You stuttered as you grabbed your hand protectively, "Well I'm off!" You squeaked as you hopped off of your chair before grabbing your bag.

"You still have school? But it's Saturday!" Saitama grabbed your arm before you could even reach for the door.

"Uhhh," your gaze looked anywhere except his brown eyes as cold sweat formed in your forehead, "We're kind of rush in schoolworks so weekends are not a thing for us!" You laughed awkwardly as you freed your arm from his grasp before giving him a peck on his cheeks, you bid goodbye to Genos before walking out the door leaving a suspicious Saitama behind.

"Sensei..."

Saitama let out a small 'tch' before walking back to his usual spot to watch the news.

"I'm off!" You bid goodbye once more as you gave Saitama another peck on the cheeks.

Saitama kept his silence as you bid goodbye to Genos as well before heading out once more.

It's been a month that you usually go out late. Saitama would sleep alone and waking up only to find you in his arms in your tired state. Saitama knew something is off because it should've not been taken this too long, right?
