<Ezra's P.O.V>
I woke up and looked around. I still wasn't used to the fact that Mirage had isolated herself away from all of us. I opened the door to the Phantom and walked in. It closed behind me and I immediately felt cold. I shivered. "Ezra? Why are you in here?" I heard Mirage say. Her voice still sounded cold and dark. But she looked like she hadn't slept in days. And she had a new expression on her face. She looked hurt and tired. I took one step towards her and she flinched. "Mirage, please don't," I said. She sighed. "I don't know who I am anymore," she said. I took the chance when she looked down to quickly go and sit down next to her. And I saw what happened to the controls. Half of them were busted and the other half looked like she teared them apart. "Whoa," I mumbled under my breath. I put both my arms around her and hugged her. And I started feeling even more cold. I resisted the urge to shiver and squeezed her tightly. "How's Chopper?" she asked after about five minutes of sitting there. I had forgotten about Chopper the moment I had gotten in here. Actually, I forgot about everything and just focused on her. "He's fine. Hera's still fixing him," I whispered into her ear. She shivered slightly. "Why did I do this? I didn't know what I was doing until I saw you," she whispered back sadly. "Shh, it's okay. Just rest," I whispered. Then I started humming a lullaby my parents used to sing to me when I went to bed or when something bad happened. She went rigid but immediately calmed down. Everything started feeling warm again. I picked her up bridal-style and sat down on a seat and started rocking her to sleep. "Ezra? Why are you doing this?" she asked sleepily. I shrugged. "Because I love you," was the first thing I thought and ended up saying. She smiled and clinged onto my shirt. I smiled for the first time this week. "Ezra?" she asked sleepily. "Yeah?" I answered. "I...love you too," she said. Then she yawned. I began to sing the lullaby again as she started drifting to sleep. I yawned as I ran my fingers throw her hair. She sighed and a few tears fell down her face. I felt myself falling asleep when I wiped her tears away. I just let myself fall asleep, hoping that none of this was a dream.
<Kanan's P.O.V>
Ezra hadn't come out yet. But the coldness that lingered around my room faded away within the hour. And then I smiled for the first time in forever. Mirage's coldness seemed to fade away the moment Ezra stepped into the Phantom. I got up and decided to check on Ezra and Mirage. I stepped out of my room, opened the door to the Phantom and saw immediately what I had hoped for the moment she stepped into the Phantom. Her snuggled up to a sleeping Ezra while she was asleep as well. I chuckled and smiled at the sight. "Kanan? What are yo-aw," I heard Hera say from behind me. I chuckled again. "Look who's finally smiling," she whispered. I turned around and hugged her. She hugged back. Everything felt right. Except for one thing. I knew Mirage wouldn't come out of the Phantom even if we dragged her out everything would bust or break or something. I sighed. Hera squeezed me tighter. "What's wrong love?" "Mirage is what's wrong. The empire ruined her," I sighed and pulled away. "They're going to come back for her. I failed at protecting her from the empire. I failed her. I-I." And then I broke down into tears.
