Part 2

<Kanan's pov>
I was surprised to see Mirage again. The last time I saw her was before I joined the crew and she was 4. I smiled when I remebered she used to chase Chopper around and make her toys levitate. When I left her on Tatoinne with Obi-Wan, he promised to train her and tell her about me a lot. None of then knew that she was my daughter. The door opened and Mirage walked in. I smiled at her and she smiled back. "I thought I wouldn't see that smile ever again," I said. She smiled but it was different that time. I was confused because she was always happy. I guess she saw that I was confused and she sat down next to me. "Kanan, Obi-Wan told me you would be here and, since I finished my training, I decided to come and see you. He also had to keep and eye on...someone(you guys know who...right?)" she said, looking down at her feet. I hugged her and she started sobbing for no reason but I knew why after awhile. I don't think she understood why I left her with Obi-Wan after I joined the crew. I looked at her and she was still sobbing. I cleared my throat and she looked up, tears still falling down her face. I sighed and told her everything. "Mirage, I left you with Obi-Wan because I didn't know how to train anyone and because you were too young to help out on missions and we had no one to look after you so giving you to Obi-Wan was the only choice I had. It hurt to give you to him and it hurt even more when I knew I wasn't going to see you again. Well, until today I guess," I added. She was still looking at me and I knew she still didn't understand why I left her. I sighed but she got up before I could say anything. "Kanan, I didn't like it on Tattoinne because the suns were too hot so I mainly stayed inside. Except when I had to train. It hurt to know that Obi-Wan found Mace's lightsaber because he told me so much about him and you. And it hurt when he told me that he died against Anakin. I didn't want to stay there anymore so when he told me I was done with my training, he told me where you were and I took a shuttle that went to Lothal. So I'm here now and you tell me I was too young and now I understand," she said and I just stared at her. It seemed like most of us just stared at her. She giggled, wiped her tears, and walked out. I smiled, knowing that she wouldn't leave anytime soon.
<Mirage's pov>
I walked out of Kanan's room and went to the common room. I felt like something wasn't right but I shrugged it off. I didn't want to leave and I didn't want to stay at the same time. Then I heard yelling. I turned around and saw Chopper being chased by Zeb and Ezra. I giggled and stepped aside. When Chopper passed by, he zapped me and continued rolling away from them. I glared at him and started chasing him. Zeb and Ezra started laughing when I started chasing Chopper. I laughed too. When we caught up with him, I grabbed a wrench and started hitting him. The others were laughing like crazy. Chopper spun his head around and I fell off. I started laughing with Zeb and Ezra. "Y-you never said you w-were this f-fun," Ezra said between laughs. All Zeb did was nod because he looked like he was going to burst. I started rolling around on the floor. I tried to get up but every time I did, I collapsed because I was laughing too hard. Once I stopped laughing, Zeb and Ezra helped me get up off the floor. Chopper was still making laughing noises, so I did the same thing I did to him earlier. He started floating around and that shut him up right away. I giggled and put him back down. He rolled back out, making a bunch of beeping noises. I sighed and went to sit down. Zeb walked out and Ezra just stood there. I could tell he was still staring at me but I didn't know why he was staring at me this time. He sat down next to me. I looked at him and smiled.
<Ezra's pov>
Mirage looked at me and smiled. I didn't want to say anything stupid so I smiled back. She giggled when I did. I didn't know why but I felt the same force signature as Kanan, but it felt a little different. Then I looked up and saw Kanan looking at us both. Mirage moved a little farther away from me. I got confused but I shrugged it off. I could feel both of them looking at me and looked up. Kanan looked at me with confusion and Mirage looked at me a little scared. I sighed, got up and walked out. I could hear them both following me so I turned and went into my room. They kept walking but stopped a few steps away from my door. I didn't want to eavesdrop, but they were right out my door so I put my ear against the door and stayed quiet. Someone sighed and spoke. "Mirage, do you want to stay and join us or do you want to go back to Tattoinne?" it sounded like Kanan. I heard someone else sigh. "Kanan, I don't know if I want to stay. Tattoinne was bad but here...it's worse. I got caught the moment I stepped out of that shuttle. I thought I was done for sure but Ezra helped. So I'm here now because of him," Mirage said. I could feel how they both felt. Mirage felt sad, but Kanan felt sad and angry. I didn't know why he felt like that but when he spoke, he sounded a little hurt. "Mirage, I know it's worse here but I didn't have a choice! It is bad here and the kid was alone and this is his home so we stayed here so he won't be as homesick. If you don't like it here, then maybe you should leave!" He shouted a little. Mirage gasped and she started feeling more sad. I was surprised that Kanan would yell like that. It sounded like someone was speaking but it was in a whisper. I only caught the last bit of it. "...but I missed you dad and I didn't want to stay there anymore," I almost gasped when I heard Mirage say 'dad'. Kanan hadn't said anything about Mirage being his daughter and Mirage never said how she knew Kanan. I wanted to lie down but I kept listening. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell. I'm just...a little hurt that you would think of going back. I don't want to lose you again," Kanan said. It sounded like one of them was sobbing. There was silence for a long time. Then my door opened and I fell out. They were both looking at me with an angry but confused expression. Kanan sighed and Mirage was sobbing. I sighed, got up and went to the common room. So much for being sneaky.
<Kanan's pov>
I didn't mean to yell at Mirage. I was still a little mad at myself. I felt Ezra's presence the entire time we were talking and decided to see if he was listening. I opened his door and, sure enough, he fell out. I was angry at him for eavesdropping on us. Mirage looked the same way I did when Ezra fell out. He looked up at us and I sighed. He sighed, got up and walked to the common room. I shook my head and went to my room. I lied down on my bed and closed my eyes. I didn't want to sleep at all because I knew Mirage would leave. I heard my door open and Mirage walked in. She closed the door. "Kanan, I don't want to leave if you don't want to lose me. I'll stay if you want me to and if you don't I'll...take the next shuttle to Tattoinne," she said. I opened my eyes and looked at her. Her face was covered in tears so I got up and hugged her. I could tell she was smiling a little and that's all I want. I want her to be happy no matter what. I let go of her and lied back down on my bed. I heard her take a step closer so I moved closer to the wall. She walked over, lied next to me, and closed her eyes. After a few seconds, I could tell she was asleep. So I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Kanan's dream...
I was lying on the ground for some reason and tried to get up. I collapsed when I got up. I gave up and rolled over and looked around. It looked like Lothal but...darker. I got up and immediately got pushed down by someone. I looked behind me and it was Lord Vader. He activated his lightsaber and put it against my throat. I could hear yelling but I didn't want to see who it was. He turned around and started moving away from me. I got up and saw who it was. It was Mirage and she was the one who was yelling. I tried to move but it felt like my feet were stuck to the ground. I tried to yell but no sound came out. Vader was walking towards her and she stopped yelling. He grabbed her and threw her close to me. She sounded like she was sobbing and when she got up she was covered in blood. I tried to get to her but I still couldn't move. Vader walked over to her and moved his lightsaber to her chest. I tried to yell at him but still no sound came out. Mirage looked scared and all I wanted to do was grab her away from him and run. But I still couldn't move and he was moving his lightsaber closer to her. She looked like she was still sobbing but something didn't feel right about it. I looked to my right and almost yelled in fright. All the crew was there and they were all lying on the ground, not moving. They were covered in blood and I knew what happened but I didn't want to admit it. I looked back at Mirage and heard a scream. I saw the lightsaber go through her and she went limp after a few seconds. I tried to yell at him but I couldn't. He walked closer to me and it sounded like he was laughing. He moved his lightsaber to my chest and stabbed me.
End of dream/ nightmare...
I jolted up and looked around. Then I looked to the side of me and Mirage was still asleep next to me. I sighed and lied back down but didn't close my eyes in case I had that nightmare again. I turned to Mirage and moved the hair from her face. I sighed and hugged her. Everything was quiet and I knew the rest of the crew was asleep. I decided to get some sleep. I closed my eyes and this time I didn't have any dreams.
The next day...
I woke up and looked to my side. Mirage wasn't there so I thought she got up already. I got off my bed, walked out of my room and headed to the common room. I heard talking so I walked right in. Everyone was still talking but I didn't see Mirage anywhere. I also didn't see Ezra.
<Ezra's pov>
I was sitting on my bed when Mirage walked in. I looked at her. Well, I kinda glared at her. She just smiled and sat on the bottom bunk. I jumped down and sat next to her. She moved a little farther away from me. I sighed. "Mirage, I'm sorry I eavesdropped but I didn't want to sit around and just do nothing. And you also didn't say how you knew Kanan so I just thought you might've mentioned how. But I didn't know he was your-" but she cut me off. "I don't need your apologies. You would've found out either way. Kanan would've told the crew and Hera already knew about that before you. I wanted to leave yesterday but I felt bad for even thinking of leaving so I decided I'll stay here," she finished. I sighed in relief that she was staying here. But what I didn't understand is where she slept last night. I wonder if she likes me, I thought without even knowing where the thought came from. She giggled and I covered my face. "Ezra, why would you say that? I do like you," she said. I peeked out from behind my hands and she was smiling. I pulled my hands down and looked at her. So I guess thinking out loud is good at some points in life, right? She closed her eyes and, right when she did, I kissed her. She opened her eyes in shock and looked at me. She was looking forwards when I kissed her so I could only get her on the cheek. She was blushing like mad. Then I couldn't even get up before she kissed me, but she got me on the lips. I couldn't stop myself from kissing back and she pushed me down. We kissed and it didn't feel like anyone was ever here. It only felt like me and her that was in the entire galaxy. We kissed but she kissed with more passion so I kissed her with the same passion. We didn't even stop after everything felt right. She kissed me more and more so I did the same thing. We both pulled apart very quickly and she was blushing, if it was possible, an even darker shade of red. I felt myself blushing as well. We both sat there blushing like idiots in awkward silence for a long time before I pushed her down and started kissing her again. She kissed back and grabbed handfuls of my hair. I played with her hair while still kissing her. I was almost out of breath when she pulled away and started gasping for air. I did the same thing. She was still blushing and I felt like I was still blushing. I got up off the bed before we kissed again. I climbed up onto the top bunk and lied down. I closed my eyes and when I opened them she was lying next to me. She moved closer to me and kissed me. I kissed back and the same thing happened all over again. We kissed but this time I could feel her playing with the collar of my shirt. I don't know why but I moved myself from her lips to her neck and she just froze. I stopped but I heard her whisper "Don't s-stop please." So I continued and she remained still. I moved back up to her lips and started kissing her again. She kissed me back so I decided not to be so easy for some reason. I kissed her with force and she kissed back with the same about of force. We kissed and it felt like we were attacking each other. I began to play with her hair again because she was grabbing handfuls of my hair. After what seemed like forever, we pulled apart and I felt like I didn't recognize myself anymore. It looked like she felt the same way. "Ezra...can you get off me please?" she said and I didn't even know I was on top of her. I quickly got off her and when she sat up, her hair was tangled. She looked and me and giggled. I felt my hair and it felt as tangled as her hair looked. But she stopped smiling when she looked down at my belt. I looked there too and almost gasped. I looked at her belt too and almost gasped again. We both still had our lightsaber still clipped on each other. I looked all over myself for burn marks but there were none on both of us. We both were too distracted to even remember we had lightsabers. She jumped off the top bunk and I followed her. She fixed up her hair and when I failed to fix mine, she helped me fix it up a bit. I put my ear against the door to make sure no one was outside it and when there was no one, I opened the door and walked out. Mirage followed me close behind me. When we got to the common room, there was no one, which surprised me. I walked to the kitchen while Mirage looked around the rest of the Ghost. Once I got to the kitchen, there was no one there as well. I walked back out and went to the cockpit to find Mirage there. There was no one there as well so we walked outside to see if they were there. Once we got outside though, no one was there as well. I walked back inside and went to the back where the Phantom was. I got over there and when I opened the door, they were all in there. They all looked at me with a surprised look. "Ezra, where's Mirage?" Kanan asked me right away. I walked back out and I felt them following me. I sighed and walked to where Mirage was. When I got there, she wasn't there. I started to panic and Kanan must've felt my panic because he told the rest of the crew to search the ship for Mirage. They all nodded and went to look for her. I sat on the ramp and out my face in my hands. When they came back, they said that they hadn't found her on the ship anywhere. Kanan gasped when he heard that and sat right next to me. "Ezra, where was Mirage and how did you know she was here because we couldn't find both of you anywhere on the ship," Kanan said. I sighed and told him everything. The good thing about Kanan is that he never interrupts. I told him and when I finished he looked a little mad and a little hurt about everything I told him. I bit my lip to stop myself from crying. I didn't know why I felt like crying, I just did. I expected him to yell at me but all he did was sigh. I was a little shocked. And a lot scared for what might happen to Mirage and where she might be right now.
