Chapter 2

Andrea's POV.

"I can't believe she hit you!"I yelled as I coated Leah's cheek with makeup.

"Ann calm down okay, I'll be out of that house in no time." Leah said grabbing her bag from the counter.

I grabbed the brushes and makeup kit and shoved them into my bag.

"Calm down, you want me to calm down? What's Aiden going to say when he see you?" I asked, angered. I threw my bag onto my shoulder and faced the mirror, I added lipstick to my dry lips.

Leah's been my best friend since diapers,our moms delivered us at the same hospital and instantly became friends. Leah and I did almost everything together,she's understanding and so caring and protective. We look out for one another in good and bad times.

After I finished applying my red lipstick I turned to Leah.

"Hey, kt's going to be okay, I'll find something to say to Aiden, are you sure you don't wanna sleep over?" I asked.

"I'm sure, besides she said she'll be late." she responded.

I nodded just as the bell rung.

"Come on let's go."I said as I threw my hand over her shoulder.

"I gotta grab my English book from my locker."she said, I nodded and we made our way to her locker. She got her book quickly and just as were about to leave to English class an all too familiar voice called.

"Andrea, get your hands off of my girl!" we heard, I  groaned quietly. We turned around to put a face to the voice.

"Or what?" I teased. He smirks.

Oh boy.

"Wanna find out?" he asks as he pulled Leah away from me.

"I'm not buying lunch for you, and today's special is Chicken and chips"he said.

My eyes widened and so did my smile.

"Oh come on Aiden, you know I love you but she's my best friend, am I not allowed to hug her?" I smiled as we began walking.

I couldn't think of a lie for smart Aiden to believe. Anything to distract him, he hasn't seen her face or heard rumors yet. He came late.

"Not when she's my girlfriend, and I'm definitely not buying you lunch." he chuckles.

Not cool bro.

"Uh hello, I'm still here.'' Leah said, throwing her hands up.

"Oh I'm sorry love, how about we ditch Ann for lunch and hang at the mall?" he whisper the last part. He looked at Leah with so much adoration.

"Sounds like a plan." she giggled deviously. He kissed her cheek, she wince.

Oh shit. He stopped in his track.

"Are you okay?" he asks as he looked into her eyes. She nodded.

She can't even lie! Much less to him. She turned to look at me for help but he grabbed her cheek, turning her face to him.

That must hurt. I saw her grit her teeth from screaming. It certainly did. When I was doing her make up she would flinch ever so often.

"Don't lie to me Leah. What happened to your face. You're in pain. Did somebody hit you?" he asks.

"Aiden, you need to calm down."I said, noticing how his breathing started to become uncontrolled.

He turned at me, and boy is he angry.

"Are you kidding me? Calm down?Who did this to her?" he asked, turning to face me.

"Aiden its fine, let's get to class okay." Leah said as she grabbed his hand.

"Its not fine, who did this to you? Answer me Leah." he yelled as some of the students stared at us.

I knew this would happen.

"My mother."she whisper as she found interest on the floor.

"What?" he yelled, his hands shot up to grip his hair before he regret injuring someone.

"Aiden, look at me." Leah said as she grabbed his face.

"I'm fine okay, don't hurt yourself." she said.

"If this happen again, you tell me immediately." he said closing his eyes.

The warning bell rung just as Josh ran into Leah, knocking her to the floor with a loud thud.

"Oh my god, Leah!" I screamed as I crouched down to help her.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hit your girl Aiden." the jock said.

"My head hurts."she cried.

Aiden was seething by now as he glared at Josh. "Aiden lets get her to the doctor." I said as she stood.

He calmed down a bit, just a bit. He took her hand in his as we walked.

"I don't even know why he's with that slut!" another guy exclaimed.

Aiden spun around and came face to face with Caleb. "What did you say?" Aiden asked as he stood in front of Caleb.

"I said she's a slut, just like her mother." he said, Aiden hands balled into fists.

Then all hell broke loose.
