Chapter 2

I dialed her phone number as quickly as i could. As soon as she picked up the phone i asked her what the problem was. She said that she didn't go shopping yet, so she didn't have any new clothes.

I told her to just wear her old clothes today and we will go shopping after school. She said,"No. Can i just borrow your new outfits today?"

I said,"No. I have to wear them first before anyone else does, Sorry."

She hung up then texted me.

Our Convo:

Her: Sorry my mom came in the room.

Me: No biggie.

Her: So how come i cant borrow one of your new outfits?

Me: Because i just got them and i want to wear them first before i lend them to you.

Her: Oh okay. But what am i going to wear now?

Me: I don't know just find something in your closet. After school we will go to Target and buy some clothes you like. Wanna ride our bikes down there?

Her: Okay. So what do you think of my green beanie and my black mustache shirt and my white skinny jeans with my brown sandal wedges.

Me: Okay but you gotta put red lip stick to make a statement.

Her: Okay text you in 5 okay?

Me: Okay

That's when i got a text from my friend, Misak.

He said,"Do you need a ride to school? And from?"

I said,"No I'm fine, I'm riding my bike."

Misak said,"No i insist I'll take you to school and me you and Mateo can ride our bikes home."

I said,"After school I'm going to Target with Sara to get her some new clothes, Sorry."

He said,"Can we come?"

I said,"Sure but meet us at the front of the school right when you get dismissed from class."

He said,"Okay. Bye I'll tell Mateo that."

I said,"Okay. Bye."

I hurried so i can eat breakfast and have enough time to do my make up.

As i was on my way to my bike my neighbor, Ralph, had asked if i wanted a ride to school from his son, Seth. I said,"No. I'm riding my bike to school with my friends."

Once my friends and I made it to school, we parked our bikes and looked at our schedules. Brianne said," I have math in room 42-b."

Misak said,"I have that too."

Mateo said,"I have science in room 22-c."

I said while looking at Sara's schedule,"Sara and I have that too."

We all said our goodbyes as we started walking to our classrooms."

When we got there, we met our teacher. His name was Mr.Gootsenburg. He said his name was an Australian name. We thought it was more like an Italian and French name. Anyways we all managed to find seats that were really close to each other. Mateo whispered to me,"What class are we in?"

Sara said,"I think you are asking the wrong question. Its more like what school are we in?"

I laughed. Okay to be honest our first day isn't exactly how we expected it to be. I said,"We are in Biology 2 and we are in Claremont Highschool and the date is 9/9/13. Highschool may not be all what we expected but lets make our first year fun."

Sara said,"Okay well do you see any guy you like?"

I said,"No...well there is this one guy..." I went closer to where she was and continued,"And I'm sitting right next to him."

She said,"Oh so its Mateo." We both laughed.

I got back in my seat and said,"Well Sara now that you know... is there any guy that you like?"

She said,"Yeah and I'm looking right at him."

Mateo smiled and said,"Sorry but, Sara i don't like you like that."

I laughed then the teacher asked,"What are you laughing at over there."

Sara said,"Sorry i told her something funny."

Mr.Gootsenburg said,"Oh okay. Would you like to share what you told Miss.Richey?"

She said,"No Sir."

He said,"Okay then. Get back to work."

As the time passed, it was time to get to our second class. Mateo said,"I have English."

I said,"Hey i have that too."

Turns out me and Mateo had the same classes together.

As we were walking to the class, Mateo grabbed my hand and said,"I know i have broken your heart...but i just cant get you out of my head so will you go out with" He was cut off by Brianne. She said,"Well hey guys. Are you going to English? Cause me and Misak have that."

I said,"Well yes we are."

I whispered to Mateo,"Tell me later okay?" Then Brianne and i started running to our class."

When we walked in the door, we saw Sara's crush smiling at Brianne.
