As Charlie makes his way out of the cold and damp woods, he struggles to breathe. He can't breathe through the pain he feels and he can't stand it. He should have said what she needed to hear in order to stay.
Ash needed to hear that he loved her. Should he call her, should he go and see her or just let it be? Ash needed to hear how he felt but he needed it most of all. He needed to see her wonderful face that made him smile, he needed her embrace and her love.
The loss for words he feels is like what his father felt for his mother. Just plain speechless. As Charlie Baker remembers his parents and the love they shared he can't help but think the pain his stepmom went through. Mr. Baker never told his wife about his son, she thought Charlie was a cousin.
