Haru stepped out of the pool and grabbed a towel, handed to him by his best friend Makoto.

He rubbed the plain white towel along his raven black locks of hair, trying to dry them.

Haru huffed, annoyed that he had to leave his beloved pool.

"What's wrong Haru?" The cheery voice of Makoto echoed into Haru's solemn mind, awakening him from his daze.

"Hmm?" Haru hummed as the pair walked toward the locker room to get dressed.

In the background you could hear Gou trying to convince Rei to let her touch his muscles.

Nagisa trying to gain Rei's attention by repeatedly jumping in front of him shouting his name.

And Rei face palming and muttering to himself about how none of them are beautiful.

Haru pushed open the plain door of the locker room and  walked to his locker.

The soft pat of his feet on the floor evident to the confused Makoto.

Haru pulled out his water bottle and took a sip from it.

He audibly sighed, causing Makoto to grow even more worried for his friend.

"Sup." everyone in the locker room paused and looked towards where the voice came from. Except for Haru and Gou.

Haru widened his eyes and stared helplessly into his almost empty water bottle.

No noise was made as Haru gulped, thinking he was crazy and he was hallucinating again.

Recently Haru has started hearing a voice that No one else hears. He usually just puts it off as a mishearing.

However, this time, he was sure it was real.

Haru slowly turned towards the figure in the locker room.

He focussed his gaze on the man in the room, tears welled in the bottom of his sea blue eyes.

The figure panicked as he saw the Tears begin to form, he thought he would get the exact opposite reaction.

"Haru! Don't cry." The figure pulled his hands out of his pockets and pushed them in front of himself showing that he meant No harm.

The other three surrounding Haru quickly looked to see the usually calm male, crying.

"Rin? What are you doing back here?" Haru choked out the words to his long lost bestfriend.

Rin was Haru's bestfriend. They did everything together.

They were even the reason the other swam.

However, after one race, Rin lost and vowed to beat Haru in a race the next time they see eachother.

He moved to Australia to get proper training, so he could earn victory over Haru.

Haru was torn apart. He felt horrible, he thought he should have just pretend lost, maybe then, his best friend would have never left.

After awhile, and some of Makoto's convincing, Haru stopped blaming himself and just placed it onto the fact that Rin's a crybaby.

"I kept my promise, I'm here to race you again." Rin laughed nervously and rubbed the nape of his neck.
Haru scrunched his eyebrows together, deep in thought.

Haru wiped the tears from his cheeks and blushed a little, embarrassed everyone saw him like that.

"What promise?" Haru mumbled and looked up to meet Rin's shocked gaze.

"You don't remember?!" Rin gasped and held his hand over his heart

"No." Haru chewed on his lip as he thought about the promise.

"Before I left, you made me promise to come back. And I made you promise to race me when I get back." Rin explained akwardly.

"Well, in that case," Haru paused a moment trying to find the right words.

"I'll race you again, only if you promise not to cry." A smirk crawled a crossed Haru's usual pokerface.

"What?! I did not cry!" Rin became very defensive quickly, he balled his hands into the form of fists and clutched them at his side.

"Yes you did, you were a big crybaby." Haru faced his locker again and pulled on his pants over his swimsuit, then faced Rin, still shirtless as the group watched their exchange.

"No I wasn't, it was the water." Rin tried to helplessly defend himself while Haru smirked again.

"Let's see if you have grown out of that stage, yes?" Haru pulled on the white uniform shirt and grabbed his bag, walking past the shocked group and Rin.

Haru just needed some time to take a bath and think about Rin.

"Fine, maybe I will." Rin defiantly crossed his arms and huffed in defeat, now even more determined to beat Haru at his own game.

Haru thought desperately about what had happened as he walked towards his home, ready to take a nice bath and have some mackerel.

Rin didn't bother to say his fare wells to the rest of the group. He came back for Haru and Haru only.

He was thinking confident thoughts, while, Haru was thinking nervous thoughts.

No, not because he might lose, but because he might lose Rin again and he just got him back.

But the one thing they were both thinking was one word-

Unpredictable.

It's an unpredictable situation.
