Chapter 9

Macro

I look around to see a couple pathways. The room we are in is iluminated by the portal we walked through. The paths ahead of us and to left were so dark that we could only see a couple feet into it.

"Umm I think we have a problem," she says worried,"Is that supposed to happened?"

I look and see the portal shrinking and then disappearing.

"That's a problem." I say to her.

I look through the darkness, not able to see a couple feet in front of me. I looked left then right checking to see if there was another way out or perhaps an area with some light.

"Whatcha looking for?" I hear her ask me. I not completely focused on her though, so I believe she asked me couple times because she seemed slightly agitated.

"Umm. I'm looking for a way out or at least some light so we can navigate our way around here." I tell her. I turn her and she's just smiling. I give her a questionable look and she just mocks me.

She giggles and says, "You do remember that we have magic, right?"

She puts her hand in front of her mouth like she's trying to warm then up. Seajay blows fire into them and forms a small of fire.

"See." she says.

"Amazing." I tell her. I'm still at shock and somewhat disappointed at myself, because I can never seem to summon things like that unless I have a source of power like the crystals.

We walk aimlessly through the tunnels and once in a while there would be a dim light being emitted by some white crystals. The first one we encounter, I tried to remove it but no matter what I did it wouldn't budge. After a while we reached a big room with a tablet floating above the pedestal.

"What is it?" asked Seajay.

"Not sure, but I can't read the inscriptions on it." I tell her.

We grab the tablet and continue walking around until we make it to a large door, with a huge locked door. The door had two large bars across it, intersecting in the middle. In the center was a plastic orb and at the top of it was four empty circles and the bottom right was another.

"What do you think that's for?" says Seajay.

"It looks like finger holes. It looks like your going to grab the orb." I tell her.

I put my hand into holes and I yell out in pain. The door latches onto my hand and cuts open my fingers. The orb fills up with my blood and the door releases me. Seajay grabs my hand and mutters something. The cuts close and heals completely. The orb goes into the door and the door fades away. I look into the room and it's nothing but darkness. Seajay and I look at each other nervously.

"Finally, someone came to free me." I hear a raspy voice come from inside the darkness.
