An author's note before the poem:
This was more on made by a friend/s since I gave little lines in it. This was made for a project in school. We got "Joy" as a tone. That is all. Enjoy the poem! XD

and leaves the darkness astray.
I get through the day,
with a smiles on my face.
It's hard to get the excitement at bay,
as I try to quicken my pace,
I focus on that thought in my brain.I look out the window,
and see the fields pass by,
I see a familiar blur of yellow,
that makes one want to cry.
This path that seems so familiar,
I'd traveled as a child. After all the years that I roam,
I have finally made my way home.
Surrounded by my family's familiar faces,
tears in my eye as I feel grateful for all these graces.
