Chloe
2 weeks after he visited, he invited me to the rose farm. While we were on the road, I was nervous. My palms were clammy and cold. Iñigo could see my anxiousness, he held my hand and squeezed it lightly. I felt the warmth of his touch. I looked and smiled at him, then squeezed his hand back.
When we reached our destination, the signage by the gate says, Chloe's Paradise.
I turned to look at him, he bowed his head as he smiled. The view was overwhelming, I've never seen so many roses in my life. Red, pink, white and yellow. He handed me 1 of each color & explained what it means.
"A pink rose conveys admiration, gentleness, grace, gladness, joy and sweetness."
"Giving yellow roses can tell someone the joy they bring you and the friendship you share. They create warm feelings and provide happiness."
"White roses are traditionally used in weddings and can represent new beginnings. The purest of colors, they represent innocence, purity and charm."
"Red roses..." he stopped as he handed me a stem of red rose and held my hand, "I will never forget how much you love red roses. They are a traditional symbol of love, romance and will always be a way to say I love you. It also reflects beauty and perfection."
He kissed my hand as I saw tears roll down his cheeks.Iñigo
I got carried away with my emotions. I love her so much it hurts and I couldn't hide it anymore. She was surprised when I kissed her hand. 12 years worth of emotions that I've been keeping and longing for her, missing her.
"I'm sorry..." I said as I wiped my tears with the back of my hand.
"It's okay." She answered, looking confused and surprised at the same time. I held both her hands tighter as I said, "Chloe, the past 12 years had been hell to me. I decided to not let you go and move on and just wait, because I know that we belong together. I promised myself that I will come back for you, when you're ready and when I'm confident enough to prove my worth to you."
I looked at the rose plantation and continued, "All these are for you. I wasn't sure but I was hopeful that one day you will be able to see this. Now that you're finally here, I will never ever let you go this time. I ask you to please give us another chance. I want to hear it straight from you, if you'd say no then I'd stop. Just so I won't have any regrets, no what ifs. I love you now as much as I loved you then."
There, I finally said it. She'd been staring at me the whole time I was speaking, tears welled up in her eyes. I held my breath for what seemed like forever, getting ready for what she was going to say.
She bowed her head as she wiped her tears, and she said,
"I've waited 12 years for this moment, for you to finally tell me that you want me back. Of course, I want to give us another chance. I promise to do better. I promise to set all my hesitations and insecurities aside and just trust you and love you the way you deserve to be loved. You are right, I've always known that we belong together. Thank you for everything. I love you with all my heart."
Upon hearing the last sentence, I got very excited that I hugged her tight then gave her the most heartfelt kiss. She didn't expect the kissing part but I'm glad that she kissed me back.
