-Chapter 2-

I parked my car in the driveway and turned the engine off. I put my head on the steering wheel and blew out some breath. Trying to process the events that happened today. I finally got out of the car as I turned around Josh was standing there. I jerked back, scared out of my mind.

"God! Josh! You scared the hell out of me!" I yelled smacking him on the shoulder.

"Sorry dude just checking in..." he replied punching my shoulder playfully, I laughed and shook my head.

He chuckled and put a arm around my shoulder as we headed in my house.

"So how is my favorite girl doing?" He asked closing the door behind him.

I plopped on the couch and started reading a magazine.

He clicked his tongue and sat next to me.

"I'm serious!" He said in a serious tone.

I snatched the magazine away from my face and looked at him.

"If you're talking about Chase I'd rather not tell you..." I said and went back to reading my magazine.

He chuckled and took the magazine away from me.

"Tell me..." He said throwing the famous book over on the other couch. I shook my head and covered my face. Tears started to well in my eyes, I uncovered my face. I felt tears cascade down my cheeks.

"I never thought Chase was like that you know, he was sweet, charming, everything I thought he could be, and he went off and did that and—..." I sobbed and broke down. I couldn't even finish my sentence. I felt my emotions take over.

He held me in condolence.

He held my head up.

"Don't worry about that jerk he's gonna get what he deserves. And then he's gonna start crawling back because he's gonna finally realize what a good girl he left behind." He said and brushed my strands of dark hair out of my face.

I smiled and shook my head.

"I know its just—"..." I trailed off.

"Dude just take the complement..." He joked.

I laughed and straightened myself up.

He looked at me and caressed my cheek.

Oh no! Is he falling for me? It was kind of cute. Well he was. He had sexy light brown eyes and the cutest dimples. Oh my god. Was I falling for him?

He smiled and those dimples appeared.

He leaned over and kissed me softly. I was surprised that I kissed him back.

Our lips moved in sync and I noticed what a good kisser he was.

No! Rose stop this kiss right now he is your Bestfriend. Remember you made mud pies with him and threw sticks at each other, pretending to play swords.

I pulled away.

he looked embarrassed, his cheeks grew bright red.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that." He said getting up.

I shook my head.

"No its okay..." I said following after him.

"No, I went over the edge... I took advantage..." He said opening the door and leaving.

"Josh!" I yelled after him, but I only got the door slammed in my face.

I closed my eyes.

"I knew I should've stopped the kiss!" I said out loud walking into the kitchen.

How could Josh be into me? He never showed any signs or anything. I quickly got a glass of water and headed upstairs.

Opening my door, I saw Chase laying on my bed.

My nightmare already started.
