I wake up as the light hits my eyes. I purposely chose the bed beside the window cuz I love the wind. I shifted to the hostel since I did not want to bother dad much with the expenses of a flat. New day, new possibilities.... I thought. I am an optimist. At least that is what i think.

I look around to see that the others had already left. Am i late? The clock on the wall confirmed my suspicions. Late on my second day! There goes out the window the thought of making a good impression. I hurry to the bathroom to get ready. I choose a black dress pairing it up with long black boots and a white cardigan. I throw on some eyeliner, my favorite cherry lip gloss and leave my naturally long hair open. I rush down the stairs, grab a granola bar and head towards college.

College is a forty minutes walk from the hostel. Some might consider it a long walk but I don't mind. I love walking. The weather was rather pleasant. It was cold considering the gray clouds enveloping the sky but the air was dry and it blew hastily sending chills through my body.

As I continued to walk absent-mindedly I hit something rather someone. As I looked forward I noticed the same guy i had bumped into before. He was taller than me and was scowling. When he noticed me his face held a curious look.

"S..orr...y, I wasn't paying attention." I explained shyly. Suddenly the view of my feet seemed more interesting.

"U seem to never pay attention." He said sternly.

But this time his voice sounded different. It sounded almost warm. Different from yesterday.

I realized that i was staring at him and I immediately looked away. "What are yo dong here?" I asked trying to change the topic. "Same as you, walking to college." he replied with the same warmth.

"Were you okay yesterday? Your voice sounded different." I blurted out.

His expression changed immediately. "That's none of your business. Stay away from me." he barked and stomped ahead.

I was stunned by his sudden change of attitude. I stared at his back till he was out of sight. Still shocked by what just happened I continued towards college still thinking " What is wrong with that guy?"

I made a mental note to avoid him if I ever see him again unknown of how difficult the task actually might be.
