**Shizuo's POV**

"Oh, you can do better than this, Shizu-chan~!" Izaya exclaimed, laughing. He grinned that stupid grin, which started to make Shizuo blush. Luckily, whenever the blonde blushed, the flea thought it was his face getting red from the anger. Thank god he's gullible, Shizuo thought, lifting a vending machine.

"IIIIIZZZZAAAAAAAAYYYAAAAAA!" The blonde man screamed, throwing the vending machine at the raven. Being the flea he is, he dodged while he was in front of a fire hydrant, the machine hitting the hydrant and water shooting out right at the bartender. Shizuo cried out in surprise and anger, getting shoved against the wall behind him. He growled a low, deep growl in his throat, pushing off the wall and running after the laughing raven.

Now, with Shizuo drenched in water, he was slowed by the weight of the water.

"Is that honestly the best you can do, Shizu-chan? That's disappointing!" Izaya's mocking voice only urged the bodyguard on.

"YOU FLEA! STOP SO I CAN KILL YOU!" The raven only laughed.

"I wouldn't like to die, thank you, Shizu-chan! Though, this is fun!"

Already aggravated from before, Shizuo growled in annoyance, yanking a stop sign from the ground, close enough to Izaya to hit him with it. He swung, only to have the raven jump. Shizuo had learned; Izaya was sitting on the stop sign. With a grin, the blonde swung the sign forward, flinging Izaya at the wall ahead, the raven sliding down the wall.

"You stupid flea," Shizuo muttered, stalking forward and lifting Izaya up, pushing him against the wall, his arm against the raven's throat.

Izaya had a flash of panic that the blonde didn't see. What Shizuo did see, however, was Izaya's knife. It had been in the hand that was grabbed by Shizuo while he was pinned by the throat. ((Basically the picture above.))

"Finally going to kill me?" The raven asked breathlessly, a grimace set on his face. Izaya desperately squirmed, his eyes panicked, but his mouth still set in the grimace. Shizuo placed his hand on the wall behind the broker, beside his head.

The blonde looked at Izaya, realizing that, even with all his cockiness, his audacity, his smartass comments, the raven still feared death.

Izaya could hardly breathe from the pressure from Shizuo's arm, making him silently gasp for air, his free hand gripping the blonde's arm, his nails digging into the fabric of the shirt.

"No. I'm not.." Shizuo released the broker, letting him slide down the wall, gasping for breath. "Sorry." The bartender turned on his heel, about to walk away, when he felt a small hand create a tight grip on Shizuo's wrist, keeping him there.

"Th-then w-what are y-you.. going to.. do? L-leave me then come b-back to smash me with s-something?" The blonde turned to see Izaya crouched on the ground, trying to regain his breath.

"No. I'm just going to leave you. That's it."

"You're j-joking!" In an effort to pull himself up, the raven grasped Shizuo's vest, coming close to the blonde. Shizuo blushed from the closeness. "There is no simple reason for you to just let me live. You wanted to kill me before, why not now?" Shizuo kept his hands tight at his sides, Izaya still gripping one wrist.

"Because... Never mind, it isn't important, flea." He tried to pull away, but Izaya wouldn't let him off easy.

"Oh no, tell me why or you can forget getting free." Shizuo looked at Izaya, seeing the raven wasn't kidding.

"Fine, flea. I won't kill you because I love you!" Shizuo closed his eyes as he spoke, not wanting to see the broker grin, smirk, or laugh at him. What the bartender didn't expect, though, was the feeling of soft lips on his.

Once the feeling was gone, Shizuo opened his eyes to see Izaya leaning against the wall, smirking. His clothes were messy and he had cuts and certainly bruises from getting thrown at the wall.

"Aw, Shizu-chan~, who would've thought our feelings would ever be mutual?" Shizuo blushed, eyes wide. The raven smirked more. "You dropped these, Shizu-chan~." Izaya pushed off the wall, leaned forward, and slid Shizuo's glasses onto him.

"Izaya.. You... You like me?" The broker nodded, his smirk becoming just a smile. "But.. I've-"

"Yeah, you've hurt me. I kind of asked for that, though. But it got you to chase me, right? That's all I wanted. For you to chase me." Shizuo blushed more.

"That isn't fair, Izaya. You could have just told me!" Izaya sighed, shaking his head.

"There would've been no fun, then. Shizu-chan, it needed to be exciting. Obviously." Shizuo stared at the smiling raven.

"Izaya?"

"Yes, Shizu-chan?"

"You're such a stupid flea." Izaya opened his mouth to object, protest, or agree. Shizuo didn't know. Or care. For he leaned forward as he took a step, and caught Izaya in a kiss. A kiss that promised more later.
