You saw that it was the middle of the day and thought to head home. At least that rude Gaston hasn't seen you yet.

"Hey (y/n)." The fisherman spoke.
"Oh bonjour."

"I heard that Gaston fellow has been looking for you."
You sighed and groaned.

"Thanks for letting me know." You walked away.
"Anytime (y/n)."
Great now you have to be on the look out for Gaston. Sometimes saying his name or even thinking about him puts a bad taste in your mouth.

You hid as good as possible to dodge him in the crowed of people in the market. It was packed as always, which is why you go so early. You prayed he wouldn't see you at all or his bumbling friend.

Your father called him his little pup or  L'ombre.

Just through the bakery and flower you're home free. You paced yourself to make it though but then a voice shouted.
"(Y/n)!"

You sighed and turned to see him stomping his way to you. "Bonjour Gaston." You were annoyed he followed you like a fly on poop.

"I was looking for my future wife." He twirled you to himself.
"Oh, you know busy me." You shrugged.

"Hey I noticed you haven't had a look on my wall of trophies." He turned you the opposite direction from home.
"Lets have a look at them?" He winked.

"I have to get home Gaston an-."
He spotted the book in your basket and snatched it.

"How can you read this with no pictures?" You tried reaching for it but he raised the book above himself. It was impossible to get.

"Would you give me my book?" You asked clamly.
"Why waist your time? You should move on to bigger better things." "Like me." He smirked.

You gave a punch to his stomach and he drop the book.

"I love a woman who can give a punch." He chuckled. You picked the book and dusted it.

"Why do you bother to read anyway? A woman shouldn't be in the books they should be in the kitchen or bedroom." You scoffed in offense.

"You belong in a cage somewhere." You mumbled to yourself.

"What was that?" You hesitated
"I said." Thinking of what to say.
Your father called.
"(Y/n) darling come home I need you!"
Saved by the father.

"Loved to chat, but I have to go now." You jogged your way back home.

"Looks like she playing hard to get." LeFou caught up out of breathe.

"I love a good chase." He watched as you made your way home.
"Come on LeFou we have some things to tend to."

------------

"Dad?" You called out.

"(Y/n) you left me here the whole day." He pouted.

"Sorry daddy, but I got another book and the librarian said I can keep it." You jumped with joy.

"How polite of him." He chuckled.

Your father was an inventor. He had all these wacky machines and doodads down in the basement. He hasn't really gotten to build something that works, but you believed he was the smartest man on earth.

Other than the animals he was another friend. Someone you can relate to.

"Dad do you think...I'm... Strange?" He shot up and looked at you.

"My daughter strange? Now where did you here something crazy like that?" You knew who called you that. Everyone did, but you thought to say no name.

"You are the most normal person I've ever met and don't you forget it."
You blushed. Before you could say anything a knock on the door happened.

"I'll get it." You said. You came up the stairs and in to the kitchen, and to the front door. You looked through the peep hole and seen Gaston.
You rolled your eyes and groaned.

"Who is it dear?" You father whispered.

You head up the stairs and said
"I'm not here." With that your father knew. Even he rolled his eyes. He went and opened the door.

"Hello Gaston long time no see." Gaston held flowers and boxed candy.

"Hello, Maurice is (y/n) home?"

"Sorry I think you just missed her." He lies.
Gaston thought to himself. As if that was possible.
"Well I better stay then to make sure she gets here." He barges through the door letting himself in.

Your father rolled his eyes and shut the door. "So father in law where's my wife?" He kicks his feet on the table.

"Probably rolling in mud." He whispered.
"What was that?" He asked.

"I said."

"I got it from here daddy." You pat him on the back.
"Thank God." He went back downstairs and you were left for dead.

"What is it Gaston?" You pushed his feet off the table.

"(Y/n) you're beautiful and, well everyone in town talks about how privileged and good looking I am." He rants. "Anyways I'm here to make all your dreams come true."

You rolled your eyes "And what do you know about my dreams?"

"Lots. Picture this you in the kitchen making dinner, me shining my gun and bringing home a meal for you to whip up, while the little ones play around me."

You looked at him in disgust.
"By little ones you mean?" You dared to asked.

"Big strapping boys like me. Can't you see it?" He pictured.

"Where are you going with this?" He gets up and follows you around like and tiger stalking it's prey.

"What I'm trying to say is you want me as much as I want you." He growled.

You moved things in his way to block him, but he had you cornered.
"Marry me (y/n)." You had no way out but the door.

"I'm flattered but." You opened the door and let him fall face first on to the muddy ground.
"I don't feel that way."

You slammed the door and hear a crowd outside yelling "Hooray for the newly wed!"

He yelled at them all to go away in embarrassment and anger.
"Guess she turned you down flat." LeFou laughed.

Gaston grabs LeFou and shoves him in the mud.
He stood over him and said "(y/n) will be my wife make no mistake about that."

How dare he just assume you... YOU out of all women to just jump on command. No, not you.
How could you see yourself married to that.
Self-absorbed douche.

Imagine being his housewife. You couldn't just let him take you like that.
You deserve more.

Just that sometimes you think maybe there isn't anything that can match the vision you had for yourself.
