My Brother used to tell me stories about the strangest things. . . .
He told me that among normal humans there were others, others that weren't so human. . .
He said that those people were different and much more special than normal people, but that wasn't always a good thing. . .
A year later did I learn that my Brother was talking about himself. . .
And the following year my Brother died.
In that moment I knew, that I was the same as he was as well.
If not worse.
**************
"Nayoko-San"Everything seemed to happen all at once for this girl, very thing negative at least.
She focused her attention on the older looking female in front of her, I'm going to get scolded again.
"Nayoko-San, I would like it if you paid attention to the lesson instead of day dreaming"
I knew it.
Nayoko couldn't help but smile up at her and nod her head in a respectful manner"I apologize, Sorano-Sensei"
The female nodded her head before turning back to the boarding and continuing on with her lesson but Nayoko ignored her once again as usual.
Nayoko was unlike other of her classmates and she knew it, she was "special" as she was told many times by her Older Brother before he had died from causes beyond her.
Suicide they had labeled it.
If that was even possible then yes, why not label it that.
Nayoko after that day had been seeing strange things, feeling strange things, it was all explained through one word.
Strange.
She doubted that people could see the things she could see, no normal person was meant to see them.
Offend whenever she closed her eyes she could see it, her body lying at the side of the road that went on forever as her body just lie there motionless.
What a dark thought? These were some of the most sugar coated things that she saw.
Everyday was the same, even when trying to sit through class like a normal student she offend see flashes of her fellow students heads blowing up or of their words floating above them as they spoke word for word.
Crazy, right?
But that wasn't the worse part about it, no, that was only a small part of it.
She saw this all before it even happened.
The special "powers" that her brother had told her about was this.
She was one of many, or so he had told her, but she had yet to met someone who could see the dark world she saw.
While her world was full of colors, blurs and metaphors that could never be seen when spoke, she was destined to suffer through this all.
Everyday she would see the future, never was it bright, never was it as beautiful as when it was in her mind's eye.
It was all bland and grey.
Little girl so bright,
All trapped and hidden from her reality,
Visions of death and destruction,
But with colors so bright that she couldn't but smile,
Words so clear than the eye could see,
They tell you can't see the words people say?
Well they lie,
To this girl,
Words are everything,
But days are dark,
The colors can't shadow what's going on,
Everything is dark,
Now the water has turned to guk,
Everything now is clear to see,
But is it so fun seeing the future like this?
Her short white hair flowed through the wind, a "fashion statement" was what other girls called it when they saw it.
"Just looking for attention" was what she heard them whispering, it wasn't like that at all.
She saw in her future that her hair would be like this, she didn't understand at first but soon it all became clear.
Just like her brother, a memento of his, she found in his room a box of grey hair dye.
"To match the eyes," Is what he had said when they spoke last"grey is the only color we will need, the pictures have beautiful colors but we see the true colors behind them, just grey"
"Just grey. . . ." She whispered softly to herself as she looked out at the cherry blossoms that scatter wherever they liked.
If I couldn't see the future, would I be able enjoy the world like everyone else?
It's not like it mattered but she couldn't but wonder. . . .
Were there others that were just like her?
