he looked in my eyes and I died inside when the words escaped my lips "goodbye" I held him tight because I knew he probably would never want to see me again after this. I loved him and that is why I had to let him go so he could be happy. I closed the door and then I broke down. the worst feeling in the world is having to say goodbye to someone you know is the one.
5 years later
i was walking down the street in my black skinny jean and a white snake shirt. I was on my way to a little cafe because I had a date with my boyfriend Ashton. he ran out and lifted me I kissed him and it was magical. my toes touched the ground again and we went in with his hand holding mine. we meet here every Saturday and he tells the waitress our usual which I had a club sandwich and he had a burger with bacon and cheese we also split fries. and a lemonade. he was perfect he cared about me and he was so nice.
we finally got done eating and then he payed and we walked out. I started to shiver giving it was November, he saw me rubbing my hands together then layer his jacket over my shoulders and we kept walking. i lived talking with him we could talk for hours we were talking about how we wanted to go to California together during winter break when j saw Calum turn the corner with his hands in his pockets.
he was coming out way and once he reached us we both stopped.
"hi how are you" Ashton said quickly even know my history with Calum.
" I'm great I'm actually going on tour with my band and I have a show in a little bar if y'all want to come?" Calum's words cut me life knives
"we are busy tonight it is our 3 year anniversary but I hope it goes great" I really did hope it went great because I broke up with him so he could go on tour with Michael and Luke.
"I have to go now bye," Calum said in a awkward tone.
"bye." Ashton said
when Calum walked off we both looked at each other and then kept walking. I was with Ashton now and I was happy I hadn't thought about Calum in years I had lived him at one point but he had his chance and he wanted other things. We got back to his apartment and he kissed my neck and I pulled him away.
"I just wanna watch a movie maybe later baby." I said to him.
"ok that's fine." Ashton said as he was turning to the DVD player and he pressed play as soon as pursuit of happiness turned on he sat next to me. and I payed down on his lap and I fell asleep.
I quickly woke up to a crash. Ashton screamed out "sorry I dropped my plate"
"it's okay babe I wanted to wake up anyways where are we going for breakfast?" A grubbing filled my stomach.
"Piggly wiggly" He said with a grin on his face he has been going there with his mom sense he was a little boy and they had good sausage so j got my clothes on then we tumbled out the door. as soon as we got there we sat down in a little booth in the corner with red seats. where we always sit because the server gets to us first.
we ordered our food and ate and then walked out side we were looking for the car so I turned away when I looked back at him he was down on one knee and he opened a box it had the biggest diamond ring in it and the words fell out of his mouth....
"will you marry me ?"
