"My Alpha Mate"

Chapter 9

There was over a hundred's people in the crowd and most of them I had never seen before. I started to panic at the thought of getting on stage in front of this many people.

"Eric why are there so many more people?" My voice was full of confusion.

 "I will explain everything in a minute." He sounded excited.

I let go of his hand and started to walk towards Becky who was sitting in one of the chairs in the crowd. Suddenly Eric grabbed my hand pulling me back to him.

"Where are you going?" His eyebrow raised while staring at my face.

"I'm going to sit with Becky and Jack during the meeting." I turned to walk over to them but Eric wrapped his arms around my waist.

"You are my mate and future Luna of this pack. You will sit with me on the stage where you belong." He grinned when he said that I was his mate. But I was far from smiling. My stomach started doing flips and I began to shake. There was absolutely no way I'm going up there affront of this many people.

 "Eric I can't go on stage in front of this many people." My voice was shaky.

"Yes you can Ali, you are meant to do this." Aww he called me Ali, no one has ever called me that.

"You called me Ali!" I smiled at him happy that he had gave me a nickname.

"I like the name. It's cute and I thought the name Ali would fit your personalty." I blushed a little and raised up to kiss him on the lips. When our lips finally separated he let go of my waist to grab my hand and began leading me to the stage that was in front of everyone. Eric went up to the microphone that was set up while I moved to the seat behind him.

"Thank you all for coming out to our meeting on such short notice." Eric's voice was in Alpha mode. "But I was urgent to explain to the pack of a change. As everyone has noticed by now there is a group of werewolves that many of you have never met. They are from a pack called "Red Moon" but sadly their Alpha was murdered by a group of hunters. So I have agreed to combine their pack with ours. They are now a part of our pack. Tonight we will have a small party welcoming them and so everyone can meet each other. For now you are dismissed but be back at 8:00." Everyone got up and began heading back to the house except for our new pack members who sat and talked among each other.

Eric turned to me with a small grin and took my hand in his leading me over to the new pack members. He stopped when we reached them and they all became quiet.

"Hello my name is Eric the alpha of the pack and this my mate Alyson, your future Luna.." Eric turned to me as I began smiling nervously at the people staring at me." We both just want to welcome you to our pack and say that we are very sorry for the loss of your Alpha. You guys can move into the pack house as soon as you are ready, there is plenty of enough room for everyone. I hope you guys enjoy being here and I will see you tonight at dinner. In the meantime you can walk around and check everything out." There were many thank you's from the crowd as me and Eric turned to go back in the house.

We began going back upstairs to our bedroom for some rest when I heard someone shout my name. I turned and there was my mother at the foot of the stairs.

"Alyson can I speak to you for a minute, Alone." She smiled up at Eric as she spoke making sure he wouldn't be upset with her.

"Of course mom." I turned to Eric and kissed him lightly before going back down the stairs. She lead me back outside to a spot where no one else was at. Well this should be interesting......
