Life was going great! Me and Eric have been making wedding plans unreal. The wedding was set in two months and I still had to get a dress and pick my bridesmaids even though I don't really have that many friends. I already know Becky is the maid of honor but besides that I am totally lost. I chose the color red because I love roses so at the wedding there are going to be roses and pearls everywhere. I told Eric that we really didn't need a huge wedding but he insist on having the absolute best wedding we can have. So far there had been no signs from my mother but I still had an itching feeling about my wedding day and what she would do to ruin it.
"Eric are you sure you don't want to go with me to wedding dress shop?" Eric decided he wanted to stick to the traditional wedding that consist of not seeing my dress until I walk down the aisle.
"Ali you girls will be just fine without me. I want it to be a surprise when I see you walking down that aisle. I know your going to make me the happiest man on the earth when I see you and I know whatever you get will look beautiful on you." I smiled and Eric kissed me lightly but still enough to make my heart speed up and skip some beats. I had decided that I was taking Eric's mom and sister dress shopping with me and most important Becky. I went upstairs to take a shower and get ready since we are leaving at one and I know they will make me try on every dress in the store. I decided since I would be changing a lot to just wear a t-shirt and some shorts. Lately I have been gaining some weight so some of my shirts weren't fitting that well. I know I need to take some runs and get this weight off before I end up a pig on my wedding day.
"Eric who is going to be your best man?" I yelled at Eric from the bathroom. He was laying on our bed and I left the door open to hear him better.
"My brother, he is the beta and my only brother so I though why not." I figured he would choose him and I would be kinda upset if he hadn't.
"Alright I was just wondering." I got out of the shower and dried my hair. I put on light makeup since I did not see the reason for getting dressed up. Just as I was putting in earrings I heard a honk from outside and new the girls were waiting for me. I grabbed my purse and ran over to Eric kissing him hard since I wouldn't be seeing him for a few hours."Bye Love you/"
"Love you Ali, have fun!" I jumped into the car and all the girls were already gossiping.
"Alyson I'm so excited for this. Thank you so much for letting me come with you girls." Eric's mom really was the mom I wish I had. I took her with me in place of my mom.
"Trust me your doing a bigger favor for me coming then you know." She just laughed and the chatter continued the whole way to the store.
When we finally got to the first dress shop after and hour long trip I was soo happy to get out of the car. When we walked into the store we were greeted by to young workers.
"So now girls which one of you is the lucky bride to be?" I raised my hand and they all congratulated me as they lead us back to a room."This is the room you can try on dresses and out hear is a mirror and seats that everyone can use." I nodded and one of the girls left but other stayed with me to help find dresses. In the dressing room it was just me and the worker."My name is Janet and I'm hear to help you find you wedding dress.So what kind of a gown would you like?"
"I love the dresses that are a corset top and curve out at the bottom. Kinda like the Cinderella gowns. I know I want a white dress and I would like some beads on the corset of the dress." She nodded and headed out of the room.Moments later she came back with at least 6 different gowns. Each time I tried them on I felt nothing. I didn't like any of them and I was glad to say that everyone else agrees with me. I was ready to leave empty handed when she told me she had one more dress that I might like.
When she came out I was a little hesitant to try it one. I was really into the big poof skirt but this one was a little less. I agreed to try on the dress and when we finally got it on she put a veil on my head placing it gently. When I turned to the mirror there were tears in my eyes. This was the perfect dress. The top was tight like I had asked and has sequins at the chest, the bottom swooshed and set me off in every perfect way. When I stepped out of the room everyone started to cry and I new this was my dress. It finally came intact that I would be marrying the man of my dreams and I absolutely could not wait.
After a long time of teary eyes we checked out and left to get some food. Since I was starving I ate everything in my plate. On the way home we chatted about wedding details and when I got to the house it was already dark. I went upstairs and found Eric already in bed. I went to the bathroom and changed into some short shorts and a small tank top. I laid down in the bed and instantly felt Eric's arms wrapped around my waist pulling me to him.
"Did you find your dress?" He whispered against my ear.
"Yes and it is perfect. I can not wait to marry you." He smiled and kissed me. I laid in his arms thinking about how great it is going to be when I am completely his in every way.That night all I dreamed of was our perfect wedding.
