The week flew by, and before Brooke knew it, she was waking up on a Friday. It was a fun week. Her and Ben got closer and Mark seemed happy for them. After work, everyone would be going to the beach, and it seemed like the day would be amazing.
Brooke wobbled her way into work and she was feeling way better than she was feeling at the beginning of the week, and she had Ben to thank for that. She was almost through the door of the elevator when her boss called her over. "Summner! May I have a moment with you in my office?" He asked. Brooke thought about it for a second. "It doesn't really matter what you say because you're going to talk to me either way... Hey that rhymed, but seriously get in here," he said.
"Okay," Brooke obeyed and followed him into his office. She was suprised to find that he had turned his desk into a bed. As they walked into the room, he hopped onto the desk then positioned himself back first (facing the ceiling). Brooke just took a seat and ignored her boss's weird behavior.
"So, Brooke is it?" Mr. Feth asked, still staring dead ahead at the ceiling.
"Yes, that's me. Is there a problem sir?" Brooke asked. She was not completely sure where this conversation was going to go.
Brooke let out a scream when her boss hopped onto his desk as if it were a surf bored and created a loud BANG! "I'll ask the questions!'' Steve snapped. "I understand that you have been having a down week," Steve acted as if he was genuinely concerned. Brooke nodded her head slowly.
"Look, Mr.Feth-," Brooke was cut off.
"Shh! Shh! Shh!" Steve smashed his finger into her lips sloppily. Brooke just nodded her head. She waited for Steve to move his finger before she wiped her mouth obsessively. "Now, no excuses, darling. However," Steve took a long pause," you should know that if this happens again we will have a problem." Steve went back to his spot on the desk, and he was back first on the desk again with his eyes closed. "Your excused," he dismissed her.
" I understand, sir. Thank you," Brooke said as she walked out.
"Also, Ms. Summner, don't forget to dress appropriately when you come into work next time because I am tired of looking at your fashion disasters everyday!" Mr.Feth screamed.
Brooke just smiled and whispered to herself, "Not gonna happen." She promised herself she wouldn't care what people thought of her anymore, so she was starting to dress like her normal self now. She dressed like herself in Georgia, in middle school, way before she ever met her best friends. Now, she was herself again, and she found some of that lost confidence. However, there was still a lot to be regained.
Brooke successfully found her way to her unit and got to work. There was nothing that was going to take her down today. She looked to her right, and she saw Mark walking by with boxes in hand. "Hey, Mark. What's all of this?" Brooke asked.
"Oh, yeah! I got a promotion, so I have to move to the next unit," Mark said. Brooke nodded her head sadly. "We can still go to lunch together, so don't worry," Mark reassured her. Brooke nodded her head a bit more enthusiastically, but she was still sad that Mark had to go to a different unit.
"Okay. I'm going to miss you though," Brooke said with a pouty face.
"That's okay because I'm going to miss you too. Now, don't make this harder for me," Mark said. Brooke stared into his amazing hazel eyes and she could see how sad he was to leave the unit. He would be leaving his closest friends behind, but Brooke understood.

Brooke and Ben walked all the way over to Mark's unit together. "Do they not have clocks in this unit? Our lunch started like 5 minutes ago," Ben said to Mark as they walked up to his desk.
