Selina had awoken in Wayne manor. She got up and walked down the halls, exploring. A voice startled her. "Anything I can help you find?" Bruce asked, smiling and taking a step toward her.
"I'm hungry." she said, crossing her arms.
"I'll have Alfred make breakfast-"
"And have him poison me!? No thanks kid."
"Oh well I could-"
"Come on," Selina said, climbing halfway out of the window. "I know the best place to get grub in the whole city."
"Let me tell Alfred," Bruce began.
"Like he would trust you to go with me?" Selina chuckled, shaking her head. "Come on, let's go. It'll be fun." She smiled softly, touching his arm lightly.
Bruce looked down at her hand on his wrist and he looked back up at her and gazed into her emerald eyes. I couldn't say no to her if I tried. Bruce thought.
"Ok, sure." he said. She smirked and took his hand, climbing out of the window. She ran with him down the grassy plain of his backyard, onto the streets. Bruce stopped, holding his hands on his knees panting for breath.
"May we slow down for a moment?" He asked.
"Listen Bruce, on the streets you don't get to slow down." Selina paced around the breathless boy. He looked up at her. "You run for your life."
Bruce looked down and thought long and hard about his life and how a lot of people don't have the privilege of mansions and butlers. But then again, a lot of those people have parents.
