"Focus Ezra," I told him as he stood on his hands on top of the gun turret on the roof.
"Focus on letting go," Kanan told him and of course Ezra had to make a joke about it by saying "letting go? I'd rather hang on thank you very much."
"Enough jokes, just focus Ezra," I told him.
"I'm trying," he said.
"Do or do not, there is no try," Kanan told him.
"What does that even mean?" he asked.
"Uh...Um...Well I don't really know, but Master Yoda sure used to say it a lot," he said so I decided to step in and tell them what it means.
"It means that if you say you're going to try to do something or if you say you're trying to do something, you don't really believe that you will succeed. If you say you are going to do something or if you say you are doing something you believe you will succeed," I say and they all give me a funny look. "What? I spent around 5 years living with Master Yoda for training, you tend to pick up a couple of things if you spend that long with someone," they all either nodded or said yes and we got back to Ezra's training.
"*yawn* I really thought this Jedi training would be more interesting. Com'on kid amuse me, use the Force," Zeb said as he shook the gun turret and Chopper made a few beeping noises that I don't understand yet. Ezra fell off the turret and asked if he had to be here, and while Kanan told Ezra about distractions I lifted Zed with the Force and said, "There I'm using the Force instead. Happy now?"
"Yes. Now can you put me down?" he asked.
"Certainly," I said as I lowered him onto his feet. I saw Kanan give Ezra his lightsaber and queried about it.
"Kanan do you really think this is the right time to teach him this, especially since we are on the roof of a ship flying about 5 kilometers (don't know how they measure distance so I'm just going to use our way of measuring distance) off the ground," I asked.
"It'll be fine as long as Chopper goes easy on him, and he will or he will have to answer to me," Kanan replied sending a death glare in Choppers direction.
"Okay but don't you think a demonstration, or something like that, first would be good?" I asked and he just said it would be fine.
'It so isn't going to be fine' I thought as Chopper started to through stuff from a crate at Ezra and Zeb started taunting him while Kanan tried to teach. Suddenly Zeb dumped the whole crate on Chopper and he threw them all at Ezra, and he fell off the Ghost. I ran to the hanger with Zeb and we opened the ramp to see Ezra floating towards us and Zeb tried to reach him. Zeb grabbed Ezra just as he was about to fall and I also helped by using the Force to pull Ezra towards me, but since I was behind Zeb, Ezra fell on him and Chopper came and threw something at them but I caught it before it could hit them. We walked in and Kanan was just coming down from the roof. HE and Ezra got into an argument and Kanan said "It's difficult to teach," and then Zeb just had to tell Ezra that he meant it was difficult to teach him.
"He doesn't mean it's difficult to teach you Ezra. This is probably the first time Kanan has had a padawan and he probably didn't complete his training before Order 66, so Kanan wouldn't know how to teach someone properly and neither do I for that matter. We are all learning here Ezra, it's just going to take some time for everyone to adjust," I say as we walk to the living room area.
"Hey you guys made the holonet" Sabine said and I zoned out for a little while until a new signal came through and I started paying attention.
"This is Senator in exile Gall Trayvis and I bring you more news the Empire doesn't want you to know. Jedi Master Luminara Unduli is alive." H said in a robotic voice. I thought I had heard of Master Luminara so I ran to get my green holocron and ran back into the room to see the holonet off. I got everyone's attention and I opened the holocron and started fiddling with it to get to the page I wanted.
"No that's not the page I want. Urgh why does this holocron have so many pages," I mumbled to myself just as I found the right page. "Aha! Found it. I thought I had heard the name Luminara Unduli before and here it is, her records from the Jedi temple," I said.
"How do you have the records from the temple?" Kanan asked.
"Master Kenobi went to the temple shortly after Order 66 and recovered as many holocron's as he could. Unfortunately only one was left in the archives room. Anyway he helped put the data onto this holocron and transfer some of the information on this one to my other one to make room. Anyway it says here that Master Luminara was focused and disciplined. It also has a short paragraph about her on this and here it is; Master Luminara Unduli was a Mirialan female Jedi Master during the Clone Wars and was the master of Padawan Barriss Offee. She worked with many Jedi Masters and Padawans, including Master Yoda, Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, Master Anakin Skywalker, and Padawan Ahsoka Tano. She was a Master of Form III and had some skill in Form V. It is rumored she survived the Order 66, as she was on the Wookie home world of Kashyyyk. And that's all it says about her," I finish and Kanan says that we can't pass this opportunity up, so Hera set course for the Stygeon System.
