Chapter2 Working

It was month five of my moving to LA. I was ahead in all my classes again and was bored in most of them. I had also finally unpacked all my boxes. I had also learned that my neighbor was Professor Eppes and his father Allen. I ended up hanging out with them a lot and they were also at my house often. I had also been helping Professor Eppes help the FBI.

I had ended up teaching hand to hand combat at the FBI in my spare time, which I had a lot of. I also ended up filling in for professors from time to time. I kept busy and worked for the college as well as a trainer for the FBI, so I had an income. "Hey Bella!" I heard Charlie call. I was in his office grading papers. He had asked me to be his assistant. He had noticed I was three weeks ahead in my assignments.

"Yeah Charlie," I answered still grading. I was done with class for the day and in an hour I had hand to hand combat training at the FBI.

"When you go to the FBI can I go with you? My brother needs some help with a case."

"Sure," I replied finishing the stack of papers and closing his grade book. "I finished grading; they just need to be put in the computer."

He came into his office carrying files, "I thought you could hack anything?" he joked and I knew it.

"In what universe is it a good idea to hack into your teacher's computer?" I jokingly asked looking at him over my shoulder.

"Good point," Charlie said smiling and opening the online grade book for me so I could input the information. As I was inputting the information Amita came in to the office.

"Hey Charlie," she said but then seemed to notice I was there.

"If it's about the FBI case don't mind me. I teach hand to hand for them," I said not even looking up from the computer. I didn't have anyone to talk to about the case. I didn't tell my dad about stuff like that. I just talked about school work. Amita came in and asked something about set theory and I finished inputting the paper grades into the computer. "Squish Squash," I said packing my book bag and getting my keys out.

"What?" Charlie asked.

"Squish squash. You're trying to clean up a tape recording right?" They nodded. "Use the program squish squash to create a filter, get rid of the excess noise."

"How did you know about that program?" Amita asked.

"I used it when I was 12 to clean up a 911 tape for the cops," I replied slinging my bag over my back. "You ready?" I asked jangling my keys.
