Dear diary,

Today is the day of the Spring celebrations. We celebrate that winter is over and that spring is upon us now. We are going to decorate the whole town with festive flowers, to make it look like a magic event. Well with all the witches it will be a magic event. For preparations my job is to get some delicious food and some other decorations from the market in Wolverhampton which I am going to do when I am finished writing. I heard that the royal family is visiting this Wolverhampton today, like they do every time the crown prince is of a certain age. Hopefully I can get a glimpse of our king and queen. You would think that since I am so old that I would have at least seen the royal family once in my life, but unfortunately I have never seen them in my 276 years of life. It is weird to think that I am 276 years old but look like 19. Some werewolves who think I am a witch and not a cross between a witch and a vampire, often flirt with me, but when I say that I actually am a vampire that is 276 years old they walk away as fast as they can. But enough about my love life, other than that this is a real safe haven for us supernatural creatures. No one is bothering us here. Everyone thinks that we are just humans who live in a small village in the middle of the woods, but little do they know that we are more than just human.

Someone is calling my name, I should go. I will write when I am back from the market.

Love,

Freyah

Putting down my quill, I walked towards Tilly, my best friend who is also a vampire just like me. We have known each other for 257 years, she was the only one who really helped me understand what was going on after I had been turned. 'Are you ready to go to the market, Freya?' She asked me with a big smile on her face. She really liked socialising with the humans, so whenever she got the chance to go to Wolverhampton she took it. 'Yes, I am ready. Let me put my diary away and we can go.' I walked towards our little house and hid my diary where only I could find it. I grabbed my flower crown and basket and walked out. 'Let go shall we' I said in a very proper way, we both laughed and walked towards Wolverhampton. 'What kind of dress do you think the queen would wear?' Tilly asked. 'I think she will wear a big ball gown with a lot of jewellery' I said. The royal family always wore fancy clothing with loads of gold and beautiful prints. Everything was so over the top, only to show that they were rich and had power. I would have loved to wear such beautiful gowns one day. 'Okay so what if one of us is noticed by the prince and you get that beautiful story about forbidden love. That would be so incredible.' Tilly fantasized while turning around and enjoying the beautiful flower around us. 'Don't be silly Tilly, he would never notice us let alone fall in love with us. There are so many girls that he could choose from, so many higher class girls who are human.' With that I slightly bashed her dreams of becoming the first non-human queen. 'Why do you always feel the need to destroy my dreams? It is like you don't even have dreams.' 'I surely do have dreams but I don't have dreams that I cannot achieve.' Tilly was always that kind of girl who dreamt about everything that she liked, it was not a bad thing but you could get your hopes up too high and then they just crumble down piece by piece. 'I know, I am just fooling with you.' She smiled and gave me a little shoulder bump. Then she stopped walking out of nowhere 'Do you hear that?.' As she asked me, her face lit up with a big smile. 'Yes, I do.' And at that point we started running towards the town. We hear people cheering and calling the kings name. We walk in and the centre of the town is fully crowded, we can only see the carriage of the royal family.

We diced to go to the market and try to see the royal family later. We walk into a small street where they set up a small market. As we walk into that small market street where the market is held, we see a strange guy entering the street from the other side. He is dressed in a dark blue cloak, hiding his face from everyone around him. His body language tells me that he does not want to be seen. Apparently I am so into my thoughts about that guy that I don't notice that I stoped walking and started staring at that mysterious guy. 'Stop staring that is rude.' The sound of Tilly's voice brings me back out of my trance. 'Sorry, I did not notice that I was staring.' I say with a small smile. We continue walking towards the first market stands. I could not stop thinking about that guy, I look up to search for him but he was long gone. As we continued the streets became more crowded, a sign that the royal family is no longer in public. They probably gone somewhere inside to eat lunch and prepare for the speech that the King will give. 'What do you think about this for the table cloths? Frey.. Freyah' 'huh what, sorry I was thinking about something else and yes that could work.' I still cannot get that guy out of my head. It is like an image that is haunting my dreams. 'Good.' She turns to the owner and starts negotiating about the price. We walk down the street and see this cute market stand decorated with flowers. If you know witches they love flowers and everything with flowers on it. 'Wow this is absolutely beautiful.' A say with a gaze. 'How much is this?' 'It is twenty pounds miss.' I look over to Tilly for permission to buy this beautiful black cloak, with a white flower pattern. I thought of excuses why I needed a new cloak, well not really excuses it was the truth. My old one is plain and boring, there are a few holes that I manged to fix and the biggest reason of all the cloak was over a hundred years old. So I defiantly needed to buy a new one. 'Sure, here you go.' She gives the lady the twenty pounds and I immediately put on the cloak, throwing my old one in the baskets that we are carrying. We buy some more things for the celebration, when we have everything we decide to walk around town and hope to catch a glimpse of the royal family. 'So what can't you stop thinking about, Frey?' She asks the one question that I hoped she would leave alone after I could not stop thinking about that guy. 'Just about that hum.. That guy we saw a few hours ago, with the blue cloak.' I say, turning my head in a bit of shame. 'Ah I thought so.' She says with an annoying smile and gives me a shoulder bump. 'You my lady have a crush I believe.' We giggle, at the thought alone of having feelings for someone scares me a bit. I never had a romantic relationship before. But who says that I will ever see this guy again and be with him for forever. 'Well it is just the question if we see him again Tilly, I just have some feelings for some mysterious guy with an unknown face. Maybe he is not nice if I get to know him. You never know.' As I say it I look next to me and we walk past an alleyway and I see that mysterious guy sitting there eating some bread. I stop walking, I sign her to be quiet and to follow me to the alleyway. 'What are you doing, Frey?' 'SST I am trying to find out who this guy is. And you are not going to stop me.' I say determent and if you know me you know that I am very stubborn, I cannot let things go easily. I look over my shoulder and see Tilly behind me deciding whether or not to follow me. I look back in front of me and see that the man is staring at me, we lock eyes for a moment before Tilly comes running at me, ruining the moment that we shared. 'Who are you?' I say carefully, hoping he would reveal himself. He looked around, seeking for a way out of this alleyway. 'My name is Nathaniël.' He says with a lot of confidence and reveals his face. He has the most compelling blue eyes I have ever seen, dark blond hair and most amazing bone structure that I have ever seen. It feels like I have butterfly's in my belly, maybe Tilly was right, maybe I do have feelings for him. Feelings that I have never had experience before. I take another look at him and notice something weird about his clothing. They don't look like clothes villagers would wear, than it hit me. 'I am sorry my prince.' I bow and look at his face. 'Rise, please do not tell this to anyone.' He looks at me with concern on his face. 'I won't tell anyone my lord.' 'Thank you and please do not call me that, just call me Nathaniël.' The feelings for him became stronger and stronger the more I am around him. Maybe it means that I finally, after two hundred years, found my soul mate. Could it be true? 'I am sorry to interrupt but hum.. We have a lot of things to do so we should go now.' I am still trying to figure out the weird feeling that I got but then Tilly interrupted me, she has such a bad timing. 'Yes, we have a lot of things to do we should go. It was nice to meet you my... I mean Nathaniël.' Before I could leave he stopped me. 'Wait, is there any chance we could see each other again? And I didn't catch your name.' With blushes on my cheek is say 'We will see each other very soon, I promise. Oh and my name is Freyah.' With that Tilly and I leave and made our way back to our village to decorate it with all the things we got. Still with Nathaniel on my mind, I think about tonight where we get to see each other again.
