So it's almost Christmas Eve, but I'm here stuck at work (which is a local coffee shop famous in our little town ), but I don't mind since I'm not gonna celebrate Christmas anyway.

I just got out of my boss's office telling him for the nth time that I'll be working even if it's Christmas if (well can't blame him maybe he's thinking why I'm not celebrating it like everyone else's and out of courtesy he didn't ask anymore why). Going back to my station since we're kind of a full house tonight because of the cold weather. As I look around every one got that happy Christmas vibes (so lucky of them), while I need to pretend that I'm happy when I'm really not.

'what's with the gloomy face' I was taken aback me when I heard someone talk, I didn't realize there was already a customer in front of me, guess I was too out my mind, I need to focus now and act happy.

'Merry Christmas sir, what's your order?' but oddly he just looked at me, his eyes too focused, that it feels like he's searching for something, I repeated my question, gladly he stopped staring

'can you stop smiling and pretending?' I was too stunned for seconds by what he just said, am I that obvious that even this stranger can read me?

'sir can you just please tell me what's your order?'

'fine I'll have a espresso macchiato '

'thanks you sir that'll be 55.00' finally he's gone from my sight

And the hours passed by, customer's coming and going, it was almost 11 pm, I look around, and was surprised to see him still there, what was he still doing here?. I decided to just ignore and busied myself with other things.

'hey Kath I'm going now, you sure you're really just staying here?'

'yes boss, go home already and Merry Christmas! '

'take care here alright Merry Christmas too'

'bye boss!'

So now I'm officially alone, but I'm used to it.

'you're not celebrating Christmas?' I was surprised when he suddenly spoke out of nowhere

'are you ordering again sir?' I just asked him again

'actually no'

'then why don't you just go home and celebrate Christmas'

'that's a great idea, but it will be so much better if you come with me instead'

'umm no thanks I don't know you?' I don't care now even if he's a customer anymore who in the world in their right mind would want to go wth a stranger

'well I'm Daniel Ford, do you trust me now?'

'nope still a no' shaking my head at him

'so tell me what should I do for you to trust me?'

'nothing, so goodbye now sir'

'no stop listen, promise I'm not a bad guy, and like you I've got nowhere to spend it and I think it would be better if we just spend it together, I don't want to be lonely on the day, which supposed to be the happiest day of the year, so humor me please'

'then find someone else, because no matter what you do my answer will be no'

He stood up then, I thought he was finally leaving me alone, but he shocked me when he suddenly knelt

'then I'm not taking no for an answer, so I'm not going anywhere until you say yes'

The heck is he nuts or just plain insane, I stared at him, and he stared back with a determined look on his face

'why are doing this, we practically strangers?'

'don't you want some adventures?'

'actually no'

'come on say you yes and I promise you won't regret it' looking with that pleading eyes

'fine!, don't make regret this'

'I promise!, so let's go now!' he had a full blown smile on his face when he look at me, I had to look away cause it's making me feel weird

He helped close the café, I hope boss wouldn't mind since it's Christmas. We're already inside his car.

'so tell me where are we?'

'it's a surprise!'

'I hate surprises'

'but you'll gonna love this one!'

'whatever'

After half an hour, he stopped his car on a parking lot. We walked some more, I was nabigla when he suddenly covered my eyes.

'hey get off your hands of my face'

'wait a sec, there!'

The facade of an amasument welcomed when I opened my eyes, so this is his surprise so childish.

'let's go'

He grab my hand then drag me inside, he was still holding my hand while he was buying our tickets, normally I would have shrug his hand off but it kinda felt nice and warm, so I just let it.

He was too excited when we got in, and I can't help but be as excited as he is, damn what is he doing to me?, since he forced me to go here, I was the one to decide what rides we'll be riding, and I choose the extreme ones, and I can't believe what I just found out, he was actually afraid of heights and he had the guts choose this place, I can't help laughing, cause he looks so funny everytime we got off.

'so kaya mo pa?'

'of course just give me a sec to catch my breath' boys and their pride.

For our last ride I let him decide this time, but maybe it was a bad idea when he told me he wants to ride the ferris wheel (it's too intimate for me), he prodded me so I gave in.

In time for the fireworks our ride was already at the top, so I got a good view and I can't help but be amazed

'I guess it's not such a bad idea going with you'

'told you, you wouldn't regret it'

I looked at him then, and he stared back, I don't how did it happened but I felt his lips on mine, making my wits flew out of the window as I return his kisses.

it's merry Christmas indeed.
