Levi sat fiddling with his duvet, because he really could not sleep. He'd been trying for hours but he just couldn't.
Levi decided to reach for his phone and scroll through all of his possible social medias again.
After a few minutes of pointless scrolling and a few funny videos, Levi decided to scroll through the girls account again. The bass playing and from what he had established, very weird girl.
Levi hadn't replied earlier due to his irrational fear of rejection. However, he got over it, just for this once and DMed the girl.
Hey, I saw your tweet before, and thought you seemed pretty cool.
Jade: How kind you, thank you. You don't seem too bad yourself.
Levi would have replied, but he was completely knocked out. Fatigue bettered him.

The next day, school had finished and both Levi and Jade went back to routinely being lazy.Every now and again, a reply was exchanged between the two.
Jade had took it upon herself to go into her garage and sit playing bass. To herself. The thought crossed her mind of how awkward she must seem. She continuously played the bass to "Do I Wanna Know" by Arctic Monkeys, since that was one of her favourite songs to play.
In the back of her mind, she had remembered the vague plans of skyping Levi, since figuring out they live so close to each other.
However, the last thing she expected was for Levi to Skype her right now. Jade was slightly sweaty, with the bass still hanging off her neck. Regardless, Jade answered, readjusting her hair.
Levi's face popped up on the screen, his hair pushed to the side, with a bright smile on his face. He had a Green Day shirt on and sleeveless flannel that was opened.
"Wasn't expecting you so soon!" Jade answered, with genuine surprise.
"I can tell, you have your bass in your hand and your hair is sweaty and messy - I can go if you need" Levi replied, with worry in his voice.
Jade laughed, and pushed her hair up into a high pony.
"No, no, it's okay. I've got time."

The next couple of hours were spent talking about food, music, and their respective instruments. Turns out, they share a mutual taste for music.
Stretching from Arctic Monkeys, all the way to twenty | one | pilots.
During their long winded Skype call, Levi hadn't stop singing to himself, and Jade had complimented this. As much as Levi attempted to deny this, his rendition of Lane Boy seemed like heaven to Jade.
