"You look lovely." detective Frost aka Dmitrij commented, trailing behind Olivia.
Tonight was her charity event and she couldn't be more ecstatic about it.
"Aren't you even a bit afraid that I might tell my husband that you're a cop?" shot Andrew a quick glare before faking a smile while greeting a wealthy couple. "Good afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, enjoying yourselves I hope?"
"Oh dear, I always enjoy your events! They are always sophisticated and classy." Mrs. Johnson complemented with a sweet smile on her red lips.
"Thank you."
"So, I heard about your 'raise money with a bachelor' project for tonight. Are you going to be one of the bachelorettes?" Dave Johnson asked as a slight smirk plastered across his lips. The man was undressing Olivia with his eyes shamelessly, completely ignoring his wife.
Olivia controlled the urge to roll her eyes. Old pervert. "That's a surprise, Mr. Johnson." she winked at him playfully. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to find my assistant and make sure everything's ready for the auction."
---
"Ladies and gentlemen, now the promised surprise. Please meet last but not least bachelorette of the night. The beautiful Olivia Romanoff!"
Hearing the sound of clapping and cheering Olivia joined a host on the stage.
"Gentlemen, that's exclusively unique opportunity to spend an evening with Olivia Romanoff without her husband getting jealous." the host joke and everyone laughed. Olivia smiled, eyeing the crowd until her eyes met Alexander's dark hues. He was not amused. Of course he didn't agree with this idea and he threatened her before the event that if the man who buys her for the evening dares even to touch her, he will kill him without a blink. "Do not miss this opportunity."
"Let's start the bidding with five thousand dollars."
"Ten thousand" A man, she's never seen before said.
"Fifteen thousand." another one with dark brown hair said.
"Twenty thousand." Jake Collins, a self-made billionaire slash her former classmate said.
"Twenty two." the man who bid 10 thousand said.
"Half a million." a familiar deep voice said. Olivia raised a brow at her husband.
"Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars." the man with dark brown hair said.
"One million." Alexander said with a hint of boredom in his tone.
"Mrs. Romanoff, you are the popular one." the host joked, making everyone laugh.
"Five million dollars." suddenly someone said and everyone gasped.
Olivia bit the inside of her lip, her eyes scanning the surroundings, looking for a man who's ready to pay that much for one evening with her. The man's face seemed very familiar, but she couldn't remember whom it belonged to. The brunette looked over to her Alexander whose jaw was clenched. Was he actually giving up already? Five millions wasn't that much after all!
"Five million dollars one.. two.. And sold to the man No25!"
---
"How about a dance?" Olivia turned around facing the man that spent 5 million dollars for a date with her. A slight smile plastered across her lips.
"That would be my pleasure, Mr--" she paused, giving him a questioning look.
"Casas. Fabio Casas." the man grinned at her, showing his perfectly white teeth.
