(Just a heads up there is talk of blood and killing here.)

Loki's Point Of View

I could smell him with my wolf sense of smell and I could see him through the tall grass with my sharp eagle like eyes and I could feel him through the earth with my paws. All I had to do was pounce and I would land on him then he would be MINE. My beta was about six feet to my left and my third in command was about eight feet to my right. We were stalking him like the predators we were and were closing in on him so quiet you could hear crickets chirping miles away. The wind was on our side tonight as it was blowing our scent behind us and his straight to me. I could smell the fresh blood on him maybe where he had gotten away from another fairly large predator but was still wounded pretty bad. He had no clue as to what was about to happen.

I was entirely focused on him. I was imagining my teeth locked on his throat in a death grip. I could almost taste his blood. I pounced and landed next to him. But I did this on purpose. I could see the fear in his eyes. I reared up on my hind legs and growled. I knew he was about to take off and I let him. That's when the chase began. I chased him for a while. I could tell that he was getting tired and my pack was starting to get even antsier then they had been before. I could have taken him down earlier when I was in the grass with the element of surprise, but I had caught the scent of several deer nearby and I kind of guessed they would be his family so I chased him away from them. I think he was actually grateful for that. I jumped and knocked him down and quickly used my strong jaw with my razor canines and locked them around his neck. Once he was gone I looked up at the sky and closed my eyes while I sang the wolf prayer for my pack. My pack kept quiet till about halfway through then began to howl with me. I guess my howl was still amazing to them. I howled in a way where told a story. In that story I said that I was sorry for his family and hoped that his soul would pass over into the next world filled with safety and happiness. I also thanked the moon goddess for guiding me. Then I began the feast. My pack following behind quickly in pursuit.

After we had finished, we each took a bone and headed back to the pack den. After everyone and buried their bone for later they settled down, and I noticed Sony a female pup walking nervously towards me. I sat down and tilted my head curious about what she had to say. Before she spoke she bowed her head in respect then looked up at me.

"Hi Alpha Loki." She said.

"Hello Sony."

"I wanted to tell you how much I respect you as a female alpha and a wolf for howling for that big injured deer before we ate tonight. Like you do for every meal we have. I hope to be just like you if I become alpha one day!" She said

"Thank you. You are very sweet, and brave for coming to tell me that." I said.

Not many wolves had ever thanked me like that, and never would the pups come up to me for they were too scared. Mostly the elders in the pack would thank me or complement on how great of an alpha I was to go by their laws and even some rituals.

"My momma is calling me I have to go now. Bye alpha Loki!" she said.

"Goodbye Sony!" I yelled after her.

After I checked the border of my territory and was satisfied no one had came around, I headed to my den, and I curled up and fell asleep. That night my human Alexandria was dreaming, and she was dreaming about being with her parents again.
