*2 months later*
*August 1st*
*Amari's POV*
So today is the day that we move to New York! They finally decided after Aunt Janae's funeral, which was back in June, that they wanted to move instead of staying here in Miami. It was too much drama. Hakeem and Mareon kept on getting into fights, plus the Jared thing. It was just to much for us to handle and we couldn't have my momma stressing. Uncle Jaay, Steven, Twist, and Myles all went out of town for some little event thingy. They are going to be there for a couple of months. It was 10 in the morning and I was the only one woke. Except for my mother. She was going to work for her last day until it's time to leave. I got up and grabbed a towel and a rag right along with my shampoo, conditioner, my Black Amethyst body wash, and lotion and got into the shower
20 minutes later, I got out and wrapped myself into the towel, brushed my teeth and then walked into the room, walking into the closet. I pulled out some khaki skinny jeans, and a red v-neck shirt. Once I got lotioned up and put on my clothes, I put on my red, white, and gold YOTR 7's, with a gold charm bracelet and a gold diamond necklace that my daddy got for me. Then I sprayed on some Black Amethyst perfume. Once I was done getting dressed, I straighten my hair and then grabbed my IPhone 6s off of the table and walked downstairs with Kita following, to see my mom in the kitchen, sitting down while drinking coffee and on her phone. Everything was packed up, except for the furniture and stuff! We're keeping that stuff here so whenever we come to visit, we'll have a place to stay. My mom had a Lace black crop top, that showed her black VS bra, a red high waisted skirt (which showed her 2 month baby bump perfectly) with her black strappy red bottoms *in MM* with her hair pulled back into a sleek ponytail and red lipstick
"Good morning momma" I kissed her cheek and got out a bowl and a spoon
"Good morning sweetheart! Why are you up so early? We're not leaving until the afternoon." She sat her cup of coffee down on the table and looked at me as I was pouring my Coco Pebbles
"I wanted to spend some time with Jamaica before we leave!" I sat on the counter, eating my cereal
"How she feelin' about the move?"
"She kinda sad about! She cried the first time I told her! So I know she's going to be bawling her eyes out today" I mumbled. I was a little sad about leaving my best friend
My momma poked out her bottom lip and stood up, walking over to me and sitting beside me "I know it's hard Amari, but you have to understand! We're doing this for you, Hakeem, Mareon, Jakobi, Jaycé, and Ja'yanna's safety! Trust me. We don't want to move either but we have to, to keep y'all safe" She explained as she ran her fingers through my bone straight hair
"I know! I don't care about moving, it's just I don't want to leave my best friend!" I poked my bottom lip out, blinking away a couple of tears that was ready to come out
My mom pulled me into a hug, rocking back and forth "I know baby!! You'll get to see her every summer! She can come up there to visit and you can come down here!!"
"Okay" I sighed. She pulled away and looked at me "Everything's not okay until I see you smile. You know I hate seeing you sad." I smiled real big and hugged her once again "That's my girl" Momma chuckled and kissed my forehead "Well, I have to leave sweetheart! Make sure you be home by 2." She said as she jumped down from the counter grabbing her phone, her red Versace purse, and the keys to the all black Camaro
