Guadalupe Pov:

I've been bullied this year a lot and it's the worst. I've started cutting each night and crying myself to sleep.

I wish I could just be gone.

*Morning*

'Well, another day of hell. Great' I say to myself as I wake up.

I go downstairs and see my mom in the kitchen. My mom doesn't know.

She thinks I'm okay, and happy with myself.

*At school*

I quickly walk to my locker and make my way to my first class.

But just what I expected, Mary was there with her friends. We used to be bestfriends, but ever since her crush, Weston, asked me out she's been mad at me, I even said 'no' just to save our friendship but that obviously didn't work.

"Hey Guadalupe." Mary says.

"Can you leave me alone for once."

"Nope."

I felt a pain in my cheek as she slapped me. She pushed me to the ground and in the background I hear a voice, "Stop it, leave her alone."

Everyone was now watching, but Mary didn't care. She began kicking me.

Brandon, a boy in my math class, stepped in. "Stop it." He says.

I was shocked that he of all people stuck up for me. He's popular and everyone likes him. Nobody likes me, why did he help me.

"Leave her alone." He steps closer and reaches his hand out to help.

I gladly accept and stand up with his help.

"Let's go." He says beginning to walk.

I didn't know what to do, so I just followed him.

*8 Months later*

Brandon and I are now best friends. I trust him with everything, I can tell him all my secrets.

Mary has left me alone since Brandon came along. He's helped me a lot. He has even helped me stay clean.

Tonight he is having a family dinner and invited me.

"Mom, I'm going to Brandon's." I say putting my shoes on.

"Okay, please be back by 9:30."

I left my house and walked across the street, since they live just across from me.

I knocked on the door and was welcomed by Hunter. He gave me a hug and let me inside.

Everybody was already at the table so I went around greeting everyone.

Brandon came up and hugged me.

After we finished eating Brandon took me up to his room.

"Let's watch a movie." I say.

"Okay, pick one." He says as I turn to look at all of them.

I turn back around with a movie picked out and see Brandon standing there with a rose and a sign.

Written on the sign it said, "Guadalupe, will you be mine?"

I smiled and excitedly shook my head yes and gave him a hug while holding the rose.
