To catch you up on what happened, I was not a happy camper seeing my dad. In fact small flames burst from my head seeing him. This is what happened;
"hey , no call to inform me your just gonna pop back mysteriously in my life asshole?" I grimaced. He stared at me coldly. He looked like a splitting image of me... Or I mean I did of him. Mom stood a few feet away with fear in her eyes, tears weld up in them. " you've got nerve coming here, making mom cry like this." I yelled. Small flames erupt from my finger tips and the goodbye mat from the door started to heat up. Instead of a witty come back all he said was " so it's true" he looked at me as if I were a lab rat. " yeah I shoot flames, big woop." He smiled wickedly.
Then things changed from anger to fear. He grabbed me. Mom screamed. And all the flames extinguished from me as though they had been sucked out of me. I feared for my mom more than myself. Dad held up a gun at mom. I screamed. Pulling as much flame out as I could. But nothing came. "Good try kid but that's not gonna work" he stated flatly. Mom was in shock. Staring at him with her hand out. Trying to reach for me but not scare him enough to pull the trigger. "Mom don't worry. " I said with a scared look. Some act of bravery.I was pulling. " I'm sorry Hun, I told you this had to happen" he said coldly. Then next thing I know I was thrown into a metal car, and tied up with ropes. Old fashioned kidnapping.
No flames around dad. Not cool, and definitely not helpful if I cared to escape. I stared at him. Pulling my best glare. "What do you mean, this had to happen! Where are you taking me!" I shouted as we drove away from the farm house. " sorry kid I'll explain this later, now if you talk more I'll suck out the rest of you flame you hell fire" I looked at him in surprise... How could he know my famous nickname from mom? I kept my mouth shut... This man.. He knew more about me then myself. And he was super human too. I was scared. After hours and hours of driving we reach a facility looking building. It was deserted . From the looks of it we were in Arizona. I knew this only because me and mom first lived here. Up until I was ten. Dad picked me up. And we passed through many doors that looked that were hard to get out of again. Wow, nice father kid reunion I thought to myself. Dads taking me to my own death. Then he handed me to another man. Bad idea on my dads part. Who wore a scientist lab jacket. I didn't pay attention to his face I was to scared. I erupted in flames as soon as we were in a nurses office. The man screeched, and punched a button on the wall. Instantly tons of men in diffrent suits pulled into the room with a fire extinguisher. Dad, I or whatever I should call he came up and sucked most of my flames like he was a vacuum, I would've put more detail into that but I passed out , like somebody dumped bucket of ice cold water into my veins.

So, now we're back to the present. I sit on this white bed hating everything that's happened to me today, or days. I kinda lost track of time. I'd get meals every so often. An intercom speaking in the left corner stuck out to me. Everything else was plain. " X002, are you ready for the afternoon meal" the intercom said spooking me out of my dreadful thoughts. " I have a name you know! And again, it's called lunch " I grumbled. There was a chuckle. It sounded nice and peaceful. They kept calling me X002. Like I was some animal. Gross and disgusted by this whole place I sat I front of the mirror. Looking, knowing somebody was monitoring me on the other side. " Okay kid, I know things don't look that great at the moment-" I cut him off with a " yeah got kidnapped by my own flame sucker dad at gunpoint, then rode all the way here and got most of my flame sucked out and passed out. Everything's hunky dory" I sassed the mysterious voice. " X002" he said urgently."You must know that attitude won't work here, certain people won't be as keen to the sarcasm as me. By the way I'm Jackson" he said. I looked into the mirror. "Well I'm ready for today, is it Wednesday? Or is it Friday? I kinda lost track after passing out." "It's actually Saturday" he stated. I looked into the mirror for a second and waited for him to open the slot of my door to give me my tray. Like we had done this morning. Instead, he opened the door. The thought of sprinting out the door came to mind. But what would I do when I got out is the question. I had no idea what the floor planning of this building was like. I couldn't escape. Instead I let Jackson in. " Here kid, promise not to shoot me with flames if I join you for lunch?" I looked at him surprised. To me this must have been a code violation. It had to have been. I nodded. To be truthful Jackson reminded me of mom. I really missed her. She must feel so hopeless right now not being able to go to the police. What would school be saying? Would she have had to move? I had enough to worry about. But still my mind worried about mom.Jackson sat criss-cross applesauce, yes I still say that, and I sat across from him. Looking at the food like a ravenous animal, I found myself hungrier ever since flame sucker (my new name for my father) stole most of my flame. I could always regain it. But I had been stuck in this cell with no fitness plan and it seemed like a flame reluctant cell. Still I managed small things like flames on my finger tips. And small balls of flames, but that resulted in a nice shower from the sprinklers. I didn't like them as much. I glanced at Jackson as I ate my bland mush food. It wasn't five star quality but I needed to survive. "Where am I?" I asked bluntly. "U.S.F stands for universal super-human facility" he said. "Looks like whoever named this hunk-o-junk place got an F in creativity" I said smiling a little. Jackson chuckled. I finished eating. He stood. But I didn't want him to leave. " Jackson , you said I was X002, is there an X001?" He looked shocked as though I thought that far, I had never stopped thinking when I woke up. He smiled "you'll get to see soon enough kid" I looked at the ground. And then I decided I deserved another nap, but only bad dreams followed.

I woke up to the static sound of the intercom, I woke up groggily looking for my phone, oh wait I'm in a facility in only a hospital gown thanks to me scorching my old clothes. I stared at myself disgustingly. I really needed shower. In the right corner of the room there was a shower faucet. And a drain at the bottom of the floor with a Snow White curtain to shield me from staring eyes, I decided now was better then never. The water felt nice. And hot on my skin it sizzled free awhile while it dribbled off. Like I was waterproof. I slipped into a new hospital gown and pair of underwear. At least Jackson cared if I got clothes or not.I sat back on bed. The static was still crunching. I plugged my ears it was getting really annoying. Until a woman's voice came over head. " X002 you're heading to the training room" training room sounded nice, a chance to spread my legs and stretch from the claustrophobic room. " you got it lady" I smiled.I stood at the main door and watched it unseal and unlock like the time Jackson came into my room, where was Jackson? He didn't show up and it's been awhile. Or at least I think, being locked up in a cell really effects you're mind in the time of day category. Two guards looked at me, I remembered them before, when I first came here. They scowled at me. But what surprised me the most was the glint of fear I saw in their faces like I was gonna turn them to dust, personally I liked having that effect on people. " Don't get crazy on us okay X002?" One said. I smiled, and walked/followed them to our next destination.

If I had to like this place, this by far was my favorite room. All the work out equipment . And another expanded dome room. The woman was trying to explain . But all I wanted to do was test everything out. No I wasn't happy about being locked up, and I didn't know what was happening yet but at least I had a little freedom. The woman, Alice as she explained. Smiled at me and headed to a room behind a sealed door and talked through yet another intercom. "Okay if you'd step on the mat for me we can begin you're combat training" she instructed. I liked where this was going. A lot.
