You and I LevixEren

Chapter- 3

Levi is startled awake when he hears the sound of feet against the creaking floorboards of the dining room inside the castle. Ever since he was young his body seemed to be on guard, but lately his mind seemed to be elsewhere. 

Walking into the room he found Eren bent over a small book and straing against the light given off by a single candle, to read it. "Oh, Corporal I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you., I just wanted to see if there was another candle to read better but I guess we are fresh out." He smiled a stupid smile ruffled his messy hair. 

Damn brat "No your fine I was just..thinking."

"I see, I'll just leave you to it then." Before the younger boy can leave Levi turns around on the bench and hollers at him to stop.

"Did you come in here to tell me anything important Jaeger or did you just want to distract me for no reason?"

"Well I...I ummm. I guess not It's just that I thought you should know that....my training went well today as you know and...."

Levi sighed rubbing his throbbing temple and shutting his eyes. "I would I was there, tell me something I don't know brat." He muttered before adding, "Eren what are those marks on you?"

"Oh well after training I may have upset Mikasa a bit and well, she took out her temper on me by slamming me into a tree." With that he added a small giggle, face apearing to be flusjhed from what Levi could see in the low candle light, flushed.

"She what?" Levi was awake now standing and walking over to Eren suddenly startled. The very notion that someone would harm someone under the care of him, let alone Eren, possible one of the most defenseless, in his mind, of them all. He wouldn't allow this to happen again. 

"No, no I said something to upset her is all. She wouldn't have gone this far ever, she was probably even practicing some form of self control. It was my fault, but I promise it wont inhabit my work sir." He let his body shrink a little thinning that he had let his corporal down. 

Levi still continued to stride over and began to examine Eren. "Tch." Levi brought Eren over to one of the tables and sat him down. "Wait here I'll get something to wash that cut."

Eren hadn't even noticed there was a cut on of his collar bone, and Corporal was going to clean it. This was going to far. Mikasa was right, he was getting to attached , and oh god here came Levi with medical supplies pulling up a stool. Fitting himself right between Eren's legs he went to work.

He cleaned all of Eren's scratches from training that day and bandaged up his arm that was covered in a good amount of scrapes from trees and branches, as well as bruises from the many times he fell today. Lately he just couldn't get hid mind to stay focused.

"Eren." Levi said not looking up from the Eren's arm which he was now wrapping bandages onto.

"Yes, Corporal?" Eren gazed at his with a starry-eyed look that would just kill anyone with jealously over how beautiful it looked on him.

"Please be more careful."

He smiled and blushed lightly, "Will do sir."
