Chapter- 5

It had been some days since the incident with Corporal and the Council. No punishments had been given out, in the common understanding between the high ranking leaders that he had indeed lost an entire squad. Also due to the fact Erwin had practically begged for the safety of his second hand, for the mission to reach full potential that is. Even he knew without Levi there would be no Eren.

Given all the gruesome circumstances surrounding the troops and their Corporeal, Eren seemed to still remain in his hope of defatting Titans. He began a retched training routine that gave him less time to spend trying to make Corporeal Levi not think about the overwhelming fact that the people he had sworn to protect were gone, and their family's were grieving the loss they were never prepared for, and more time to think about how stupid was for the way he was feeling. Corporeal would never feel the same for him. The only emotions anyone had seen him provoke were anger, or in Eren's case sadness.  How could he ever try and explain this to someone when the person he wants isn't capable of feeling the same way.

"Hurry up Jaeger." Shouted a very sweaty Levi who woke Eren from his daze as he sat propped up against a huge thick tree trunk.

"S-sorry Sir." Eren kept his gaze downward and fiddled with the ends of his cape.

Levi sighed, and squatted next to the obviously upset 15 year old. "Eren," Eren looked up, glossy eyed, and in awe of the use of his name from his Captain. "Tell me what's wrong."

Eren looked down again. "It's nothing Corporeal," Slowly he stood up and started to speak, "Let's just get back to-"

Within moments of him trying to walk Levi was on his feet and pinning the younger boy to the tree. "We wont have a very efficient training if you're upset. Now will we?" Eren shrugged, uncomfortable with how close the Captain was to him. "Who did this to you."

 Levi's face was full of concern and Eren knew he couldn't tell him that it was him who did this. Him who caused the sleepless nights, the tears staining his face, all the loneliness. He couldn't say that he had fallen in love with his Corporeal and needed him more than anyone person left in this world. He couldn't say that when he felt Levi look at him he didn't feel like so much of a monster. That he made him feel safe and gave him hope when he was in such dire need. No, he couldn't say any of it and it was killing him. "P-please let me get back to training Sir." Eren choked back sobs as he struggled under Captains grasp for a moment.  

"Tell me or I will beat every man and woman in our unit bloody until one confesses."

Why does he care so much. "It was me Sir. I was thinking of someone I love deeply who may never love me back."

"Oh, I see." He removed back his hands from Eren but still remained close. "You may have the rest of the day off. Just don't let those fools you associate yourself with see you. I will not be reprimanded for some shitty brat like you." With that he left Eren standing by the giant tree wondering how in the world he wasn't going to split apart from sadness.

Sry it's short loves but I was rly busy with other things and will try to be more active on the account. I am going to try and fix this shitty story for you all so its worth the 200 some reads.
