BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
"NORA GET OUT OF BED IT'S TIME FOR SCHOOL!" My mom yelled, I groaned and reached for the alarm clock,
Another day, same craphole.
I swung my feet over the side of my bed and stretched my arms,
"DON'T IGNORA YOUR MOTHER!" My father yelled, I rolled my eyes at the god-awful pun.
"WHATEVER!" I yelled back, I brushed my hair and put it in a sloppy bun, then went over to my closet and looked through my clothes, I pulled out a light blue polka dotted sleeveless top and some soft orange shorts. Now onto makeup, I did a simple cat-eye and a touch of mascara, then I slipped on my flip flops and jogged down the stairs to see my mother making pancakes and my father reading the news paper. As I stood in the doorway my two younger brothers shoved past me to get to the food. They were so obnoxious. I just wanted out of this crazy house. One more year and I'll be free.
"Nora, come home right after school today. There's been a lot of wolf attacks lately."
"Sure, dad." I mumbled, grabbing a piece of toast and spreading some jam on it. He was always on my back every moment of every day.
"You listen to your father, young lady." Mom said, and I rolled my eyes. Abandoning my breakfast, I wasn't hungry anyway, I grabbed my bookbag and headed out the door.
It was a bright, beautiful spring day outside in Happyville, with emerald green grass and baby blue sky. I shit you not, I live in Happyville.
"Hey, nora!"
I turned at the sound of my friend Monica's voice, giving a wave as she flounced up. She was a tall, curvy brunette with gorgeous hair and body. Guys fawned over her, and I usually paled in comparison with my skinny legs and awkward stature.
"What's up?" I asked, and she giggled.
"There are, like, tons of transfer students coming over to our school. And word on the street says that they're hot."
"Oh joy." I said sarcastically, and she rolled her eyes.
"Come on, Nora. You need a boyfriend. It's senior year!"
I never understood why other girls needed to have boyfriends. What's the use? They don't last anyway. Basic girls wear my patience.
"Whatever. Hey, do you have that homework for Mrs. Frank...?"
Once we reached the school, me trying desperately to stuff my last remaining copied homework in my bag, we were interrupted by a flock of people near the entrance.
"What the hell?" I murmured, confused as Monica stood on tiptoe to see over people's heads.
"Oh My Gee," Monica said from her view, curse her and her long legs, "I can't even deal, they are sooo drool worthy like I can't even right now,"
"Yeah, but they are in the way," I shouldered my way through the people and ended up being pushed into somebody, "Oh my God I'm so-" I said as I looked up, I stopped dead in my tracks...
I felt tingles shoot up my arm where we touched, I looked at his chest, I could see his eight pack through his tight shirt. His jaw line was so defined and chiseled, his dark eyes sultry and dangerous. He looked like a god. An angry god.
"Mate," he growled as he grabbed for me, but I backed up,
"Whoa there back off mate," I said as I disappeared into the crowd, well that was weird.
