"You need to be on time. You are only allowed to have four absences beyond that you will be dropped from this subject..." The teacher kept on talking. Babbling on and on about the rules and regulations. It was my first day in college.
I went to an engineering school at the city. The school was prestigious and well known for they produce engineers of high education and quality. Who wouldn't want to be one ?
Riiiing!
I stood up along with my new classmates. I haven't made friends yet so yeah it was easier this way going alone. I should not trust too much. The people in the city pry and use people as I've heard. But that's not going to happen to me.As I was out the door my iPhone rang.
"Hello Mom?"
"Can you pick the sisters' books I ordered its just beside the mall"
"Oh okay....how many are there? "
"...20"
I almost choked. I rode a bus to the city. How the hell am I going to carry 20?!
"What?!"
"Text someone you know maybe they'll lend you a hand. Bye"With that she cut me off. I was frustrated beyond compare. Sure it would have been fine if I rode my car to school.
I started walking to the mall, guarding my bag since thieves are swarming the area. My feet hurt from my heels. And imagine I will be carrying 20 books to the terminal. Its a good thing though the terminal is just on the other side of the mall.
I was panting out of breath. Many things are running through my mind. One, I should have drive to school. Two, i should have worn flats. And three, I shouldve worn sleeveless than of longsleeves.
I was frustrated. I decided to stop by the mall and eat before I drain my energy again in walking and carrying God knows how many grams of books there'll be.
I sat down on a table at the food court, breathing in and out respectively.
What to eat. I thought as I graze my eyes on the signage of the food shops. I was going to go for a shake or an ice cream. Anything as long as its cold enough. My eyes landed on a stall when my phone buzzed.
Lee: Hey! What you doin?
Me: At the city, in a mall. You?
Lee: I'm at the city in a mall looking at you to be exact. My heart stopped. He's here. I looked around like a crazy woman. I was nervous. I wasn't ready to meet him yet.
Yeah sure we talked for a month and a half through chats or texts but personally? This is too much.
What if I don't like him? And he's already my boyfriend.
A lot of things were on my mind I stopped looking around and relaxed. I slumped down fixing my hair. This is it. I sighed.
1...2...3...4...5... No one. The phone didn't buzz. I was about to text him when a guy asked to sit with me.
I was focused on my phone. Not minding I just nodded at whoever that guy was and was now sitting in front.
Then it buzzed.
Lee: Okay... What are you waiting for anyways? What's so amazing about your phone ?I was about to reply when...
"Seriously? What's with your phone?"
I looked up and gasped. He was smirking. I was wide eyed. He had a stubble on his chin. He had a chiseled jaw. I traced my eyes looking at his chest. Even wearing a white shirt you can say he failed to hide the muscles. He has thick brows. Ash blonde hair that dropped to his forehead and stopped at his eyes. He has dimples on both sides of his cheek. He smiled this time."Hey Lyx."
My breath hitched.
"Hey Lee."
My heart thumped loudly. Due to this beautiful creature in front with his dazzling smile.
