Hate is a strong word,

But I really, really, really, don't like you.

Now that it's over,

I don't even know what I liked about you.

Brought you around,

And you just brought me down.

Hate is a strong word,

But I really, really, really, don't like you.

(Hate (I Really Don't Like You) - Plain White T's)

"That's the name," the she - devil sneers. "What brings you here?"

"Noel's eighteenth," I pick up the necklace again. "Don't you remember?"

She grins - a grin sickly sweet, making me want to puke and call a fake right there. "Oh, Noel? Of course, I remember that whore."

I clench my fist to keep from rearranging her face with it. "Noel isn't a whore; you must be thinking of yourself," I say with a smile, my voice even and quiet.

Anger flashes in her eyes. "Shut up, bitch," she hisses.

"I'm surprised - you learned more words." I coo. Drew coughs to hide a noticeable laugh.

She purses her bright pink lips, her eyes landing on Drew. "So, who's this?"

I look at Drew. He just raises an eyebrow. "He's my friend," I say, after a moment's hesitation of either choosing the word 'friend' or 'boyfriend'.

"Oh, really? I thought you just had Noel," she jeers at me. I roll my eyes.

"Bloody hell, Amanda," I smack my forehead. "I've become a hell of a lot more sociable, you know?"

She looks unconvinced. "Psh," she waves her hand at me, the many bracelets on her wrist jingling annoyingly. "You wish."

I roll my eyes again. "So, how's your new school?"

"Good, good," she carries it on like a normal conversation. Drew looks dumbstruck. Hadn't they been fighting just a moment ago, his expression reads.

I just nod.

"...Especially because there's no whores like Noel there." She finishes. That makes something in me snap.

"You," I point exactly at her chest. "Have no God damn right to say that about Noel. She is a thousand times better than you. It was one little mistake; get over it! You're acting like a child. I don't care if I sound like a bitching parent. I don't care about you, Amanda. We may have been the best of friends you'd ever see, but that doesn't matter. I may not hate you, no, that's not the case, but I wish to curse you to the seventh circle of hell. You will not say things like that about Noel, Wesley, Shelly, or anyone else! Got the memo, chica?"

She looks at me, wide eyed, before muttering a 'yes'.

"What was that? Didn't catch it," I cup my ear in over - exaggeration.

"I said yes," she hisses out.

"Good, now get out of my sight before I do something I won't regret." I threaten. She stalks off, shooting daggers at me over her shoulder. Once I can't see her, the adrenaline wears off and I cover my mouth with my hands.

"I should go and rinse my mouth with soap and water," I murmur. Drew suddenly burst out laughing, and I look at him like he's insane.

"You're so innocent; it's really cute," he says, smiling at me. I blink at him. Me, cute?
