"Lord Emery, why is she still here?" Ren asked as they finished up their meeting.
"She is my guest," he said. "Is there an issue with that?"
"No Lord Emery. Just checking. I mean, what if she wants to talk to the others?" Ren asked again.
"She won't remember the others," Yoko stepped up and said. "I'll make sure tonight didn't happen."
"No. Just the meeting the others. Leave the other stuff alone. And this will be the last time Yoko. I need her to remember things," he said as he walked off. It was nearly 5 am and the sun would be rising soon. Everyone went to their rooms to relax.
"Kiki, is Kaiya still awake?" Emery asked outside the room. Before Kiki could say anything the door opened.
"Yes I am. I been waiting," Kaiya said as she reached out to Emery's arm and pulled him in. He went with her. Kiki was big eyed for no one, NO ONE Touches Lord Emery.
"Ergered, aren't you?" he said to her as they finally sat at a little table he had set up into her room for more comfort.
"I just want to get to know my hero Emery," she said with a smile.
"I'm not a hero Kaiya. I just happen to smell.... See you at the right moment," he said to her.
"Either way. You didn't leave me there to die. You said I was cut and under a cardboard box and was bleeding out. You saved me. I mean without you, I wouldn't be here today, "she said to him sweetly.
"I was only doing what I felt was the right thing to do," he said to her. "Kaiya, you really need to get some sleep." He started to stand up. She stood up too.
"I'm not tired. I have slept for how many days? I want to know more about you. Why does everyone bow down to you? Is this your house? How is your eyes purple?" she asked as she followed him towards the window near her bed.
"You slept for 9 days, they respect me, yes it is, and I was born with them. Anything else?" he asked her as he glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. She was looking outside.
"Do you have a girlfriend or a wife?" she asked bluntly. He just stood there not moving a muscle.
"Why do you ask such random questions?" he finally said.
"Because I want to know," she said to him.
"Careful for what you ask," he said to her as he walked away from her. She was confused but before he got to the door she walked up to him and turned him around. He turned but shrugged her away. "Please, Kaiya, sleep and we'll talk in the morning."
"Emery...., please stay with me," she said sweetly.
"I told you before, it's not respectful," he said to her again. She just looked down. He turned and started to walk out the door.
"Emery....I.... I remember everything that happened...." she said with a tear. He stopped, and came back in. He nodded wanting to know what she knew. She walked to the table and handed him a note book of everything she remembered she wrote it all down. He took it from her, wiped a tear away and kissed her forehead. He told her to sleep. She went to bed crying. He stood outside her door, release Kiki of her duties and read the memories. After two hours, he could hear Kaiya sleeping. He peaked in on her, laid the book down beside her bed, kissed her forehead sweetly. They will pay for the pain. "Emery?" she mumbled. He stood there and she was feeling for him. He laid his hand down so she could feel he was there. She flipped it over palms up and laid her cheek into his hand. "Please stay with me." He stood for a moment and then laid in the bed next to her. She curled up to him, her head on his chest and his arm around her. He stroked her hair and stared at them in the reflection of the mirror that was across the room in front of her bed. Soon they both were asleep.
