Sense || Rilaya

Chapter 1

       Riley Matthews is your typical city girl. She's outgoing but insecure and always follows the rules. But ever since summer camp Riley has been trying so hard to be that girl she has always been in front of her friends and family not trying to be the girl she was in summer camp.
       The girl Riley was in summer camp was completely different. She wasn't afraid of anything and she did a pretty good job of breaking the rules. And most of all at camp she wasn't crushing on guys she was crushing on girls.
       Riley couldn't believe it herself it took her awhile to accept it. Without the help of her friends at camp who were really accepting, Riley probably would still be in denial. She was afraid to come out to her parents.
       Her father, Cory Matthews, didn't like that fact of boys being around Riley so how would he feel about girls being around Riley? Then there's her mother, Topanga Matthews, who is very kind and is okay with the fact of Riley understanding love, but then again Riley thought to herself would her mom accept the fact she would understand love with another girl?
       Well, Riley did come out to her parents and she was not surprise at their reactions. Her dad questioned her a lot and needed time to process. Her mom was shocked but okay with it along as Riley was happy.
       They all agreed to tell Auggie,Riley's little brother, when it's the right time so he could understand.
       The next obstacle Riley faced was coming out to her friends. School is about to begin and she only came out to one of them. The one she least expected to come out to first.
