A/N: Hey guys sorry I don't post really quick my Internet has been acting up oops. Also from now on I'll be making my chapters longer cause i think I'm getting use to this yay so I apologize for the first 2 chapters. Also I'm starting to do POVs.

Riley's POV

The night before school starts up again we all go to Topanga's and just have fun and talk. Not only close friends come, but also other classmates I never talked to before and rarely upper classmen. Of course my mom allowed this because she trusts me so much which I hope I never ruin.

These parties never really go crazy so I really didn't have to worry about anything. The party doesn't start for another hour and we were already set up everything so the gang and I just decided to discuss each other's summer which we haven't done yet.

Of course Farkle went first and discuss how his summer went and even though he had fun cruising around the world he missed his friends.

Next was Lucas he said he had fun at Texas visiting old friends and family, but I was confused while he was explaining what he did over there. He told me that he was going to Florida with his cousins to just have fun not go to Texas. Of course being myself and not wanting to create any drama before the party I didn't bother to ask about it.

Then, Maya explained how she really didn't even do anything but help out at Topanga's. I could tell she was lying she did do something over the summer and I wonder what it was. She also said how much she missed me which made me blush. Charlie explained how he also had a boring summer except for the past couple of weeks and smiled at me.

"The party is starting now!" Farkle shouted. We all looked out the window and saw a bunch of people about to come in.

2 hours later

The party was the biggest one we had yet. I even saw some popular people including upper classmen, jocks, and cheerleaders.

Everyone was having fun even though there wasn't any alcohol or anything being served. Most of the high school parties around here always have everything you need for a party so I was surprised that lots of people showed up here.

Still, there was some weird tension between Maya and Lucas for some reason. They didn't look at each other, talk, or even go near each other. Something happened between them and I need to find out what.

I headed over to Maya,"Hey stranger how's it going?"

"Nothing much babe," she said. For some reason my heart beat got faster when she called me babe. I don't know why since she always called me babe every now and then. Weird. When Lucas came around the corner she just turned her back on him.

"Okay, I tried not to bring this up before the party started, but why are you avoiding Lucas?"

"What? What are you talking about?"

"You're not acknowledging him. Everytime he tries to go up and talk to you, you leave." She didn't say anything back she just smiled and walked away. Something happened between them during the summer and I don't know if I want to know what. Since I can't get an answer from her I'll get it from Lucas.

It took me awhile to find Lucas usually I can tell where he is since girls are always around him which used to make me jealous. But this time he was alone outside probably because of whatever happened between him and Maya.

"Hey, you look like you aren't having a good time?" I questioned.

"Is it that obvious? Well, something is kinda bugging me," he replied. I didn't want to ask, but hey school is about to start I don't want awkward tension between any of us.

"What's bugging you? Is it something to do with Maya? She's been acting weird just like you." Right as I said Maya, his expression changed. Not surprised at all.

"Um, well I guess something is bugging her also."

"You know you can tell me anything, if you don't want to tell me at least don't lie to me," I said annoyed and walked away.

*party is over*

"That was some party, thanks guys for helping me clean up."

"Of course, anything for you riles," Maya said and smiled at me.

"This party was the biggest one we had yet!" Farkle said with a lot enthusiasm. We all laughed at his statement.

This was the only time Maya and Lucas were in the same room ever since the beginning of the party. I texted Farkle and Charlie that they can go home, they were confused, but of course left with a made up excuse.
Lucas noticed and tried to leave, but I wasn't going to let that happen.

"What the hell happened between you guys!" I yelled. They were shocked and and just started at me.

"Something happened between me and Lucas," Maya replied after a long silent minute.

"Oh, what happened?"

"We got close and well one night...we kissed," Lucas said.

"Oh, that's all? Seriously?"

"Um yeah," Maya said sounding shocked at my response. "You're not mad, upset or anything?"

No, why would I be? But then I remembered they don't know yet.
"Um, no not really. You guys it's okay if you have feelings for each other just don't lie or hide anything from me."

They nodded and we continue to the clean the place and when we were done we all left separately. But I'm pretty sure right as I got closer to my door, Lucas walked with Maya to her place. I wasn't upset that Lucas had feelings for Maya, but I was upset that Maya had feelings for Lucas.

I didn't even want to think about it so I just tried to sleep, but then I remembered when Maya called me babe and my heart beat went faster. Why did my heart beat went faster? I asked myself. Next thing I knew I fell asleep on the thought of Maya.
