Mutant and Proud (A Charles Xavier Fanfiction)

Chapter 2

-Erik's POV-

After my run in with the woman named Jessica I went to Charles to tell him there was another mutant here. We already met Hank who Charles so nicely exposed to his boss. I walk into the little living area and see Charles reading a book. "Charles." I say and he looks  up from his book to me

"Yes Erik?" He asks and I sit in the chair across from him.

"There is a mutant here" I say and Charles chuckles.

"Yes I know there are multiple, You, Raven, that lovely fellow Hank and me" he says and I groan frustrated from his sarcasm.

"No Charles there is another mutant" I say and his smile fades.

"Another mutant?" He asks making sure he heard me right.

"Yes she is named Jessica she shares a office with Hank" I say and he looks interested.

"Oh really? Well this is interesting"  he says thinking out loud. "How do you know that she is a mutant Erik?" He asks.

"She knew my last name." I say and Charles looks at me weird. "Look I didn't tell her it, she either is a really good guesser or she can read my mind" I say.

"A telepath. She will be a good Addition to the team. What did you say her name was again?" He asks.

"Jessica."

-Jessica's POV-

After walking away from Erik I went off to find Hank. I walk down the halls trying to locate him. I go to his room, not there. I go to the Cafeteria, not there. Where could he have gone? Last place I know to check is the Living Area. I walk into there seeing Erik And I quickly try to go out before being seen.

"Hey, Jessica" Erik says

"Damnit" I whisper to myself, I turn around and smile. "Erik it's nice to see you again" I say and I notice that there is another man in the room. He is seated in front of Erik and he is staring at me with two fingers on his temple.

"I would like you to meet Charles, Charles this is Jessica she works here with Hank " he says introducing us.

"Hello" he greets .

"Hello, well I must go I have to find Hank." I say turning out of the room and I leave. I hear someone follow me but I do not pay attention to it. Well not until I feel them poking around in my head. I put up a wall and keep walking that's when they come up to me.

"Jessica" the voice says. I look over to see Charles.

"Yes?" I ask walking he is keeping up with me walking in the same Rhythm as me.

"You don't have to hide. You are among friends now." He says .

"What do you mean Charles?" I ask playing dumb

"You're a mutant." He states and I stop dead in my tracks.

"I have no idea what you are talking about" I say.

"Oh but you do. Miss Marie" he says and I turn pale.

"How do you know my name?" I ask a little scared.

"You don't have to hide anymore Jessica. You are among friends " he says trying to comfort me.

"No. I've tried so hard to keep this a secret and I'm not just going to let that go to waste"

"Jessica you have no reason to be ashamed I'm just like you"

I scoff at that. "You are just like me? You? We might have the same powers but we are no where close to being like each other " I say angrily

"B-but..."

"No buts. I have had this a secret and I'm not letting it out anytime soon. So good day Charles." I say walking off leaving him there.

Jessica please

I turn around and look at Charles

"Get out of my head" I say

"Just please let me try to convince you"

I ponder what he says for a minute before speaking "Fine. Pick me up at 7 " I say before walking away.

-Time Skip-

"Hank where is my coat!?" I yell walking around our small CIA apartment.

"Couch " he yells back at me coming out of his room. " Woah. Why are you all dressed up?" He asks looking at my black dress and heels.

"I am not dressed up Hank you just never see me out of my lab coat" I say and he chuckles.

"Surree. Make sure to tell Charles that I said hi"He says and I glare at him.

"You are such a ass hole sometimes" I say. He just chuckles.

"Jess you should really give him a chance you never know. You might like being part of the team." He says before going back into his room.

"Yeah..." I say putting on my coat.

-Time Skip-

There is a knock at the door while I am doing my makeup. "Hank can you get it!?" I ask putting  on my mascara. I hear the door open and Hank great Charles.

I finish putting on my makeup and begin walking out to the living room but stop hearing Hank and Charles speaking.

"Listen man. Jess is not a easy person to handle. But she is a great person and I'm letting you know if you do anything wrong she will tell you and call you on it. Also if I find out you tried anything or you don't treat her right I will personally beat you unconscious." Hank says and I chuckle to myself hearing how protective he is.

"You won't have to worry about that Hank. I promise I will treat Jessica like the lady she is tonight." Charles says a little scared of Hank.

I decide then to walk out. "Hello Charles I'm sorry I kept you waiting."

"Oh it's quite alright I was having a lovely conversation with Hank here" he says in that adorable accent.

Did I just say adorable. Ugh I meant...um. Ugh I got nothing.

"Well that's nice." I say smiling giving a hug to Hank and a kiss on the cheek."so where to Mr.Xavier?" I ask walking to the door.

He walked in front of me and held the door. How sweet of him. "I was thinking we could get dinner and then go from there?" He asks as I walk out, he follows behind shutting the door.

"Sounds marvelous." I say with a smile.
