Tyler Joseph came up with the band name 'Twenty One Pilots' while studying Arthur Miller's play 'All My Sons'. The play was about a man who manufactured airplane parts during World War II. He finds out his parts are faulty but sends them out anyway, causing the death of twenty one pilots. Josh and Tyler say that the play influences many of the decisions they make for the band.
