«The next morning, still Anna's P.O.V»

When I woke up the next morning I was surprisingly still laying on Peter's chest. I looked up at him to see he was awake and watching t.v.

"Morning, Anna." Peter said awkwardly.

"Morning Peter."

"Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah." Oh God I hope I wasn't talking in my sleep. Then again, do I love him?

"Did you-" Peter started but Bruce walked into the room.

"Hey, we can take your bandages off now." He said. I rolled off of Peter and sat on the edge of the bed. Bruce held my wrist while he unwrapped the bandages. I stared at the small scars on my arms.

"Also, you should hurry up and get ready for school. You have an hour and a half until school starts."

"Ok." I said. Bruce and Peter left. I walked to the closet and looked for something to wear. I decided on a red racerback shirt, for pants I slipped on some dark blue jean short shorts and shoes I chose black Vans. I walked out of the room and saw Peter in the kitchen drinking orange juice. He was wearing a blue v-neck shirt, dark blue jeans, and black converse.

"Hey Peter." I said.

"Hey Anna."

"What school are we going to?"

"Umm, I don't know actually."

"Hey, you guys better get going or you're going to be late." Bruce said when he walked into the room.

"Oh, yeah we should get going." I said.

«At school, still Anna's P.O.V»

"Where to?" I asked.

"The office to get schedules. Luckily, Stark made it so that ours are the same."

"Cool." I said as we walked to the office and the lady at the desk handed us a price of paper with our classes, locker numbers and the combination. Peter would only be six lockers away from me. Then we walked to our lockers through the sea of people in the hall.

'Oh crap, I lost Peter.' I thought to myself before I ran into a girl.

"Watch where you're walking." She said. Oooh let's make this fun.

"And what if I don't?" I asked with a sly smile.

"You're new here, aren't you?" She asked.

"Yup." I said. She rolled her eyes at me.

"Then you should be taught how things are run around here. First off, you watch where you're going. Second, I run the school, meaning I'm the most popular girl, and head of the cheerleading team. No one is more popular than me. Got that?"

"Yeah, but I have one question. Since you're the most popular girl in school, does that mean that your hair color has to come out of a bottle?" I asked. She got a disgusted look on her face before opening her mouth to speak.

"My hair color is NOT fake!"

"You're lying, I can tell by the way you're sweating at you're hairline, and your heart rate just increased. So you're definitely lying."

"How did you-" she started but someone grabbed my arm and pulled me around the corner. I turned around and saw their face, Peter.

"Peter, what the hell!"

"What do you mean 'what the hell'? It's our first day and you've already made an enemy!"

"Hey, she ran into me."

"What does it matter? And when did you get so smart?"

"I've always been really smart." I asked confused.

"Then why would you run into the tower and try to get yourself killed!" Peter yelled.

"I wasn't trying to get myself killed!" I yelled.

"Obviously you were if you tried to take him on by yourself!" Peter yelled.

"I knew what I was doing, Peter." I spat.

"What about your parents? Did you even care about what they would've felt if their daughter practically had a death wish?"

"They can't feel anything if they're dead." I said before turning around and beginning to walk to my first class.

"Anna wait." Peter called after me. I ignored him and walked into the classroom, luckily before the bell. A second before the bell rang, Peter walked in the door and took a seat next to me in the back of the room.

"Anna, I'm sorry, I didn't know." He whispered. I stared straight forward for the whole class and quickly finished my homework. I continued for the rest of the day to ignore Peter and finish all of my homework for the rest of the school day. When the last bell rang I stood up and walked to my locker, quickly putting my books away then making my way to the doors of the school. I pulled the Bluetooth that Tony gave to me if I needed anything.

"Tony, can you come pick me up?"

"Sure, wait what about Peter? Where is he?"

"I don't wanna ride home with him. We had a fight."

"Like a fist fight?"

"No Tony, we didn't get in a fist fight."

"Oh, ok, I'll be there in a minute."

"Alright." I said. A few minutes later Tony pulled up in a sharp white Audi. I sat in the passenger seat and Tony drove off.

"Any homework?" Tony asked.

"No and Tony, you don't have to act like a father."

"Awesome, I knew I couldn't act like a father figure for long." Tony said as we pulled into the driveway.

"Thanks Tony." I said getting out of the car.

"No problem kid." Tony said. I walked to my room and fell face first on the bed

"What's wrong with me?" I asked myself. Someone knocked on the door.

"Come in." I groaned. I moved so that I could sit up and see who had come in.

"Peter, what do you want?" I asked.

"I wanted to say sorry for what I said earlier." Peter said.

"I just want to be alone, Peter."

"Anna, please just listen. I know what you're feeling, I lost my parents too."

"You did?"

"Yeah."

"Oh Peter!" I said throwing my arms around him.

'Dang it, I can't stay mad at him. Plus he didn't know.'

"Anna, I have a question."

"What is it?"

"Ok, last night after I woke you up from your nightmare you laid on my chest. Then when you fell asleep you were mumbling, then you said you loved me. Do you love me, Anna?" He asked. I froze. I've been asking my self that question all day, do I love him? I like him and he saved my life, but I just don't know.

"Can I think about this Peter? I'll get back to you on it tomorrow, promise."

"Yeah." He said nodding his head. "Yup."

"Ok, well you have homework to do, Peter."

"Oh, yeah, I'll go do that." He said before leaving.
