I walked through the door of the same vintage game store I have been going to since I had moved to Sacramento, what felt like years ago. Something felt different about the place but I wasn’t so sure what it was so I just went on as usual. I walked over to the section of old Pokémon games (one of my favorites) so Ian and I could start a new series on ‘Game Time with Smosh’. As I was browsing through the games I got focused on just finding the perfect game. I kept walking down the isle when I tripped and fell over a girl stacking video games on the bottom shelf. I looked up and saw what had to be one of the most beautiful girls in the entire world. Her blonde hair was up in a ponytail that fell over her shoulder in loose curls. Her green eyes were the same shade as emeralds, I got lost in them as soon as I saw them.
I didn’t realize I had been staring at her until I felt two hand grabbing onto my shoulder gently shaking me, “Oh my god?! First day and I’ve already screwed up. Sir, are you okay?!” I shook my head and began to stand up.
“Um yeah.” I shook my head a little once I was on my feet, “I’m fine, what about you? Are you okay?” She looked a little frazzled,
“Yeah I’m fine, are you sure you’re okay? Oh gosh, I can’t believe this happened. I knocked a customer over on the first day. I shouldn’t have even gotten this job.” I chuckled a little and grabbed her shoulders to keep her still; she had begun pacing back and forth when she started rambling.
“Stop it! It was all my fault, no need to worry.” She shyly smiled, “Are you sure, I mean you did look kind of dazed for a second there.”
I chuckled thinking of how I got lost in her eyes for a second, “Well it was kind of hard not to.” She blushed, “So you aren’t okay?” she had a confused look on her face, “Only if bright green eyes can hypnotize you, if that’s the case than I might have to go to the hospital.” She giggled and her blush deepened. “Well I um… I have to get back to work.” She looked down at the ground and sighed. I looked down to see that I had spilled an entire box of games on the floor. As she kneeled down on the floor and started to pick them up, I kneeled down too, “Here let me help you.” She looked up at me and smiled, “Thanks.” I smiled, “No problem, my names Anthony by the way.”
She looked at me with those bright green eyes of hers, “I’m Haley.” We finished picking up the games and I pulled her back to her feet, “It was nice to meet you Haley.” I smiled, ‘It was great meeting you Anthony.” I checked the time on my phone I had to meet Ian for a new ‘Lunch Time with Smosh’. “I have to go, but do you want to hang out sometime?” I looked down at the ground thinking she might say no, I felt her hand touch my shoulder, “I would love to.” I looked back up to her and smiled, “Great!” I gave her my number, “Text me.” I smiled and walked out of the game store. As soon as I got to my car I realized that I had forgotten to get the game. I looked back through the stores window and saw Haley helping some people at the register and realized that, that game was no longer important.
She was.
I pulled my car into the driveway and Ian was waiting outside for me, I rolled down the window and yelled at him, "Hey girl, whatchu' doin'?"
He jumped into the passenger side of the car and started talking in his gay German accent, "On nothing! Just waiting for a good time." I laughed and started to reverse the car.
"So what do you want to eat?" I pulled out of our neighborhood, "I was thinking pizza, sound good to you?" I smiled.
"Sounds great!" Ian pulled out his phone and began to record, "Welcome to another Lunchtime with Smosh! What will we be eating today, Anthony?" Ian turned the camera towards me.
